Tasted by karaseke on 11/10/2019 & rated 91 points: With a depth of body, bright and bold. (1005 views)
Tasted by Chris Keller on 10/28/2019 & rated 91 points: This was a bright oaky yet balanced Chardonnay in the California style. The notes of hard candied lemon, muskmelon, apple, cream, wildflower honey, allspice, fresh split oak, pie crust, elderflower, and muddy claylike minerality. That is well rounded and warming This wine packs a long well built finish making it a very nice complex fireplace companion. drinks beautifully now thru - 2023. (964 views)
Tasted by llindahl on 10/12/2019 & rated 91 points: Nice deep gold colour. Medium intense citrusy nose with a good dose of well integrated oak. Had half the bottle in decanter overnight and flavour improved significantly.
On the palate medium acidic and full bodied. A lush feeling.

Good quality, like the quality for the money paid. (928 views)
Tasted by Baron Slick on 4/16/2018 & rated 90 points: New World in style, big bodied yet not overtly so. Tropical fruit, Meyer lemons, and vanilla wafer notes are framed by obvious malo action. Juicy, creamy, and long, with flavors and textures that gain attractive traction after every sip. Ginger spice adds a lovely complexity on the finish. Keeps getting better the longer it sits. (1628 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 6/9/2017 & rated 91 points: consistent with notes of 4/8/2016 (1629 views)
Tasted by macmiker007 on 5/9/2017 & rated 90 points: The wine looks straw colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, apple and vanilla. It tastes like biscuity, butterscotch, diacetyl (butter) and apple blossom. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. (918 views)
Tasted by Apkelly1 on 2/3/2017: mild oak buttery citrus (1124 views)
Tasted by laskest on 12/6/2016 & rated 69 points: Turning to vinegar already (1017 views)

nose - citrus and light apricot
taste - citrus - lemon/lime, white flower
aftertaste - crisp/light acid, citrus
overall - good balance, mid-finish (751 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 4/8/2016 & rated 91 points: The only non french wine opening for the evening. Very Californian, pineapple and lemon, with plenty of oaky vanilla. A bruiser and a fan favorite (717 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 3/2/2016: Big cream factor, no harsh edges, long finish, fairly hot and really big. 100% malo and 100% new oak. (813 views)
Tasted by billwine5 on 1/9/2016 & rated 89 points: Nicely balanced with good minerality.
Soft lovely melon fruit and honeysuckle. 75% malolactic fermentation. Finish ebbs a bit. (655 views)
Tasted by norzano on 10/11/2015 & rated 90 points: Really liked this. Just a little oak, definitely not over the top like the typical Napa style. Crisp, slight acidity. (698 views)
Tasted by M Macht on 9/7/2015 & rated 92 points: Excellent California Chardonnay which is not overly oaked. (776 views)
Tasted by Mcclureking on 6/27/2015 & rated 92 points: Very light, crisp and creamy Chardonnay. Hint of oak, but not over the top. Great for a hot summer afternoon in the boat or around the water. (708 views)
Tasted by dcwino on 5/6/2015 & rated 93 points: Domestic Cab dinner (Eddie V's): Yellow tropical fruit driven nose, pineapple, passion fruit, also golden delicious, mineral and a hint of heat. Good concentration and balance but once again a hint of heat. Quite enjoyable. (1383 views)
Tasted by pakabear on 5/6/2015 & rated 92 points: Good concentration and balance, compared well to the other whites, my first experience with this wine, very nice. (561 views)
Tasted by ageverett on 4/11/2015 & rated 90 points: 2015 Napa Trip - Day 3: Color of pale straw, with almost a little bit of green. Full bodied, with a creamy texture. Minimal oak. Ashleigh felt that this was too buttery, but didn't strike me as such. I agree that this is generally not my style of white, but for some reason I dug this. Not enough to buy any at this price, but I did like it. (1358 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson

Napa / Sonoma

SONOMA: The Yorkville Highlands AVA, approved in 1998, is located in the southwestern corner of Mendocino County, between Sonoma County's Alexander Valley to the South and Mendocino County!s Anderson Valley to the North. The region is 25 miles long, roughly in the shape of rectangle and bisected by Highway 128 which runs the length of the AVA. The region!s terrain is hilly and forested, with elevations ranging from 1,078 to 2,442 feet above sea level.
The distinguishing features of the Yorkville Highlands AVA are rocky soils with a high gravel content and the climate, which is cooler than Alexander Valley but warmer than Anderson Valley, and significantly cooler at night than the surrounding areas.

Carneros

Straddles the southern ends of Napa & Sonoma Counties.
