Tasted by Mnawacki on 4/5/2024: No formal notes taken. (69 views)
Tasted by norsktorsk on 5/30/2022 & rated 90 points: getting old. brownish. (1265 views)
Tasted by kenthecpa on 3/1/2022 & rated 90 points: Beautiful nose of rose petals.
Lovely wine for a reasonable price. (1348 views)
Tasted by Bisou on 1/19/2022 & rated 89 points: The peak is upon 2015. Might last a year or two longer. The colour is turning a bit brown, some leather on the nose. Astringent, red cherries. (1514 views)
Tasted by Bisou on 6/12/2021 & rated 88 points: Showing some tertiary aromas of dried fruit and leather. Red fruit and acidity still present. I would say it's at its peak right now. (1891 views)
Tasted by Neurowine1 on 4/23/2021: This is drinking very well at the moment. Black cherry, mushrooms, lots of black pepper, but still light on its feet. Very interesting flavor profile that evolved over the course of the evening. (1913 views)
Tasted by Blacksmith450 on 2/19/2021 & rated 85 points: Nez légèrement réduit. Petit fuzz sur la langue. Fruit bien vivant. Le pétillant m'agace grandement. (1832 views)
Tasted by CUTig1 on 1/14/2021 & rated 89 points: Blueberry notes. Smooth (1297 views)
Tasted by Shavian on 10/15/2020: Rich, dark. Paired nicely with pizza! (1420 views)
Tasted by Mnawacki on 10/9/2020 & rated 89 points: I like this house, and a great, rustic choice to accompany Friday night pizza. (1100 views)
Tasted by pigdaddy on 9/26/2020 & rated 89 points: decanted from magnum (standing for several weeks, significant sediment). dark ruby/garnet; rustic & barnyard nose initially dominated the blue fruits & asphalt below; bright & persistent strawberry, blueberry & cherry, dark soil & a broad stroke of funk that is cut through by solid acidity. aired up dramatically, but remained a bit unrefined.

salumi & cheese; amatriciana pizza (1079 views)
Tasted by BillyOsh on 8/3/2020 & rated 90 points: I really like this bottle and love Occhipinti. Beautiful medium light violet color, aroma is flower forward then blue fruit and tar or spicy tobacco. Super bright flavor, great clean acid, tart cherry, blueberry. Not especially long but wonderful with food just the way you want to go back for another sip. (1122 views)
Tasted by Chateau du Fey 1994 on 7/23/2020 & rated 89 points: Had a very different experience with this bottle the second time (maybe the first bottle was flawed?). Enjoyed this quite a bit for a light italian wine. (1165 views)
Tasted by Finare Vinare on 2/15/2020 & rated 89 points: Pizza time! Slightly reductive but not in a disturbing way. Juicy and almost light-bodied at 13% abv with moderate flavour intensity, refreshing acidity and light astringency, slightly watery midpalate and not very long either. That said, it's an excellent wine with pizza and drinks like a charm. The bottle is finished in the same tempo as the food, just as it should be. Plan to drink any remaining bottles over the next 2-3 years. (1878 views)
Tasted by Frijole on 12/5/2019: medium red, medium clarity, ruby hue
Nose: black cherry, dirt, tobacco, violets, minerals
Pal: black cherry, dirt, tobacco, minerals, flowers, tannins
Feel: medium
Finish: medium
T8 (could be a 7) (1428 views)
Tasted by Puteljen! on 10/8/2019 & rated 88 points: Not much has happened here since release. Still good fruit and lots of liquorice and funk. Nice wine. (1693 views)
Tasted by jpp10780 on 6/28/2019 & rated 87 points: Took awhile to settle down but it was decent as a wine that went with pizza. For $15-20, it's great...nothing more, nothing less. (1730 views)
Tasted by 560 B&W on 6/3/2019 & rated 91 points: Lovely but likely won’t last. Mid weight, mid ++ acid, 13% (1753 views)
Tasted by pbaek on 4/7/2019: Hmm, less interesting now. Animal notes, very lean, fruit fading just a bit. (1757 views)
Tasted by riversedge on 3/12/2019 & rated 88 points: Fruity and dense. (1614 views)
Tasted by Finare Vinare on 12/7/2018 flawed bottle: Corked. (2761 views)
Tasted by arvidpalmqvist on 11/14/2018: Cherries, raspberries and almond paste with both floral, green and barnyardy hints. Quite tannic on the palate. Had another bottle of this wine 3 weeks ago and found it very muted, but today it was wide open. I no longer think it was due to a dumb phase but rather bottle variation because I don’t think it could’ve so clearly exited a phase in just 3 weeks time. (2046 views)
Tasted by arvidpalmqvist on 10/23/2018: Red cherries, blood orange, rubber, mint with a hint of barnyard and spices in the finish. Very muted at first but opened up slightly with time. Did not really deliver tonight, might be in a dumb phase. (2140 views)
Tasted by JohnRachelWine on 9/26/2018 & rated 90 points: Color: dark brick rad
Nose: very muted oak and dark wood
Palate: big black fruits laced with oak tannins
Mouthfeel: medium body, tannic but short finish

Nice, enjoyable IGT blend. Drinking very well right now. (2103 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 7/23/2018 & rated 92 points: Dang, a bunch of sour folks rate this wine. This is a bright, lively Sicilian wine with clean and tart red fruit, a bit of earth, and enough depth to call it "complex". Real nice. (2550 views)
