The best wine of the night, them that's not saying much. Drink up, IMHO

(@ My place by WW): 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% other varietals. In the bouquet herbs and brett (Which was gone after enough air time.), cherries and red berries, earth and some green impressions. On the palate a start with cherries and spices like pepper. Also laurel, oak and minerals. Mild acidity and tannin and ok bitterness. Very tasty wine. 87 - 88 (1312 views) |

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
