Smell:fruit followed by briars
Taste: restrained fruit with vegetable
Feel: thin
Finish: short and tart
Much better with food then by itself (5317 views)
Tasted by tebor on 4/18/2011 & rated 80 points: As advertised, smooth blend with light notes. Syrah shines through. (5345 views)
Tasted by Rissaru on 6/27/2010 & rated 90 points: Tasty with Thai food! (5876 views)
Tasted by DD23 on 3/30/2010 & rated 91 points: With Rodericks (6136 views)
Tasted by stlwinelush on 12/20/2009 & rated 85 points: Its fine; fruity, not much finish. (3347 views)
Tasted by CongerCellar on 7/29/2009 & rated 74 points: This wine drinks like a light Shiraz. It's a blend of Shiraz, Pinot & Zin. Tasted high alcohol content & spice. I think I waited a little too long to open this bottle. (3824 views)
Tasted by subtlet on 4/26/2009 & rated 75 points: Vegetal funk on the nose. Fruit is evident on the palate, but so are some strange flavors that I can’t place. Not enjoyable, and this wine review is terse only out of respect for the makers other solid efforts. (3857 views)
Tasted by hutch on 4/8/2009: Wine Marketing Tasting (Newport): God no. (5055 views)
Tasted by mpricher on 1/24/2009 & rated 88 points: Deep red but still transparent. Dark fruit mixed with asian spice on the nose. Mouthfeel is pure velvet, and has a nice mixed berry on the mid palette of strawberry pop-tart. A little candied, but not over the top. All in all a nice NV blend, and the Pinot-Zin mix softens the Syrah. (3885 views)
Tasted by dbarco on 11/30/2008: Light, easily drinkable, interesting, but not special. (3984 views)
Tasted by iByron on 11/2/2008 & rated 84 points: This is version {5}. Dark but clear purple color with a nose of Pinot must and Zin jam. Medium-light body on the palate with very few tannins showing up until the end (probably the Syrah's contribution). Interesting blend that I imagine would not be for everyone. It didn't offend, but I wasn't feeling it at all. Second day was less interesting. (4705 views)
Tasted by markellen.foodies@gmail.com on 9/27/2008 & rated 87 points: Interesting unique blend. Quaffable wine paired well my Pan Asian fare at Yuga (4138 views)
Tasted by jamieirving on 7/11/2008 & rated 82 points: The Sampler (The Sampler, Angel, London): Made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel this wine is a blend from different states and different vintages! Light purple in colour I found typical strawberry, raspberry and creamy vanilla characters on the nose. There was also a slight hint of tropical fruit! The palate showed more body than the nose and appearance suggested. Sweet red fruit, candy floss and a hint of spice. Would probably be quite nice chilled! (4824 views)
Tasted by rharl on 7/5/2008 & rated 88 points: Much more pleasant than the last bottle I opened 18 months ago -- flavors have integrated to provide a pleasant drink, if a bit simple... (4219 views)
Tasted by wood on 3/24/2008 & rated 78 points: The Syrah, Zinfandel and the Pinot Noir did not compliment each other in this bottling. The fruit seemed to be dominated by the Pinot Noir but did not have enough balance with little structure to support the fruit. (4454 views)
Tasted by EaglesWin on 2/28/2008 & rated 86 points: Easy drinker. (4670 views)
Tasted by RPerro on 2/1/2008 & rated 84 points: Oregon Blends (Every Day Wine): Nice fruit...lots of pepper too. The zinfandel in this blend really stands out. Finish is a bit short for having so much fruit on the palate. Nose is lovely, with cherry and pepper. (5208 views)
Tasted by CORSkier on 12/7/2007 & rated 86 points: Although the Zin does take over a bit, the Pinot Noir lightens it up. Jammy nose with a hint of tree fruit. Almost as sweet as pie filling, the pinot cuts through the others with a tad of acidity. Very interesting blend. Can't taste anything that the Syrah brings to the bottle, but it was a good quaffer, and went well with roasted chicken and risotto. (4627 views)
Tasted by Rubz1 on 11/22/2007 & rated 88 points: had with Thanksgiving dinner, went well with the chicken (4465 views)
Tasted by kurzawski on 11/21/2007 & rated 85 points: I don't have a very sensitive palet (or at least have not learned to really differentiate between tastes, aromas, etc.) but as a wine drinker with not nearly as much diversity in my choices I found this wine to be delightful. A ight red that was, for me at least, a pleasure to drink. (4485 views)
Tasted by theyvin on 11/4/2007 & rated 85 points: In a few words, this is simply a good bottle for a weeknight, or for friends that aren't totally into wine, but can appreciate an easy drinker. Give it a little time to open up and you'll appreciate the quaffability (sp) of a fun little number from sokol blosser. If you want something more serious, then this isn't your bottle!

BTW, think about zin and syrah mixed with pinot. Don't expect it to be like pinot, after going up against those big boys. Seriously. (4834 views)
Tasted by KillerScaryRawr on 10/31/2007 flawed bottle: nothing here. hardly any nose, very little taste, somewhat effervescent. cork practically fell out. $15 that i won't get back. grr. (4471 views)
Tasted by spass on 9/30/2007 & rated 86 points: it does what it does - zin fruit dominates. very drinkable - a no brainer... a good party wine which ought to find general appeal to mixed palate preferences. (4498 views)
Tasted by Rubz1 on 8/19/2007 & rated 92 points: This wine was shared with a lot of pinot noir, it was a nice break with all the pinots. It went well with red meat, we had lamb and tri tip. Full-bodied, a very nice blend. We shared at an August BBQ with Tim, Jim, Steve, Jacque, Mike and Judi. (4394 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
