On second day, struck us both as a glass of fresh grapefruit juice. Really very nice and an incredible value in a good Fr. white wine. (2190 views) | | Tasted by cse on 7/29/2006 & rated 92 points: This wine is now even better than it was a couple months ago. The nose is still shy, but everything else is near perfect for what it is. Marvelous! (3022 views) | | Tasted by thebonnydooner on 6/25/2006 & rated 90 points: Delicious - high acid, lots of zing, and very nice varietal character. Really delicious with some grilled swordfish kebabs. Great value for the money. (4236 views) | | Tasted by cse on 6/23/2006 & rated 91 points: For my money this is about as good as it gets: an incredibly fresh, clean, piquant sauvignon blanc with a fine mineral bite. The nose is a bit reticent, but with coaxing yields pure and delicate flower and green apple aromos; on the palate the wine is very long, tasting much more of stone than fruit. Some might object that the wine is slightly too angular on the palate--and sure, it's not perfect, but for $15 I can't say I've ever done better with a sauvignon-blanc based wine. (3503 views) | | Tasted by neb on 5/28/2006: Aromas of chalk and lemon zest. Bracing acids, candied lemon peel (but not sweet), a hint of honey. Great QPR. (2839 views) |
