Tasted by redwhiteandrich on 9/21/2020 & rated 92 points: Last bottle. Wish I bought more. So readily available back then, also so affordable yet here I am wishing...

Dare I say these may age better than pepiere?

Their is an almost unctuousness to the honeyed peachy sea spray. (1064 views)

-translucent lt/med gold

Tasted by Wine MOB on 3/8/2019 & rated 90 points: Deep golden, chalkie mineral driven, very Chablis like. Rich texture, burnt crepe brûlée, honey dew, pear, Macintosh apple, white flowers, long salty finish. Absolutely a joy to drink. (1280 views)
Tasted by AudunG on 6/16/2018 & rated 86 points: Floral aromas with stony minerals. Relatively soft and delicate in the mouth, still with good acidity. Maybe a little tired. (1830 views)
Tasted by Cote d'Or on 2/7/2018: Tasted over 2 hrs
-translucent pale gold-green
-moderately expressive ripe almost tropical fruit sweet floral
-med/med- acidity, light weight soft round ripe floral, not particularly long
-OK, lacks energy and minerality, not what I would identify as classic Muscadet; much less impressive showing than last bottle (1710 views)
Tasted by DK Amateur on 5/16/2017: Pure and fine, an excellent dry white wine which has become softer with age. (2573 views)

Tasted by LWI on 7/28/2016 & rated 86 points: BYO Blind Tasting: Blind. Sweetish smell, lemon, faint grapefruit, lemon candy (synthetic); rather high acidity, fresh, limited length, well, well... (1449 views)
Tasted by Cote d'Or on 5/29/2016: Excellent, young with long future (2730 views)
Tasted by DK Amateur on 4/9/2016: Precise nose full of mellow soft white fruit. Soft dry taste. Lovely wine. I wonder if it is much different from my previous bottle two and a half years ago. (2475 views)
Tasted by christyler on 3/26/2016 & rated 90 points: Nice showing. This is one of those bottlings that makes me feel I should buy more muscadet. Drinking great and should last forever. (2449 views)
Tasted by loegaute on 8/2/2015 & rated 88 points: Veldig forsiktig nese med våt stein, flint, sitronzest, gress og noe blomster. Kr. 220. 88p. (2030 views)
Tasted by Roughl on 7/22/2015: Thoroughly enjoyed this with steamed vongole. Serious winemaker here. (1791 views)
Tasted by Gurto on 7/6/2015 & rated 85 points: Doftar mogna, lite bokna, gula äpplen, stenig och lätt flintrökig mineralitet samt lite jästiga toner.
I munnen lätt och friskt med lite bokna mognadstoner samt stenig och salt mineralkänsla. Relativt frisk syra.

Fortfarande ett bra vin men känns lite trött och ihålig. Kanske hade druckits bättre som ung? (1632 views)
Tasted by Pierre-Yves on 10/5/2014 & rated 89 points: Mineral complex and structured. I love 2010 in Muscadet. Excellent now, but still will try to hide some for aging. (2130 views)
Tasted by DK Amateur on 9/10/2013: Opened and poured. Saline and mineral notes intertwined with a soft white fruitiness. Very dry and very pure. Not very versatile with food, but probably a perfect oyster wine. Fish cakes with roast potatoes and a salad of haricot verts with carrots and a kind of yellow beet overpowered it.

Three days later: more harmonious, combining fruit and minerality and a creamy texture. (2659 views)
Tasted by wallstreet on 6/10/2013 & rated 89 points: Young, but it doesn't matter, I drink this stuff all the time. Young and aged and its mostly all very good for the price of entry. Actually, I think it is a great deal for the $$. This will need a few years to smooth out, but buy some for now and for later. Best pairing with Oysters! (2400 views)
Tasted by coremill on 6/6/2013 & rated 89 points: Nice florals on the nose, citrusy, leesy, quite concentrated and ripe for muscadet (some of the fruit gets past lemon/lime and into orangey territory). Not quite as mineral as I might expect, and I like Pepiere's Clisson better, but this is still very good. (2605 views)
Tasted by Finare Vinare on 9/17/2012 & rated 88 points: Mineral nose, very pure, green apples, lees, anise, but no ox/cidre (see Ecu's Expression de Gneiss). Friendly, harmonious taste - leesy, spritzy, with green apple aromas and a slight fatness. Easy drinking, hasn't got the superb structure of Clos des Briords, but nonetheless a very high quality muscadet. (3518 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 7/8/2012 & rated 92 points: Light straw yellow color; lovely, tart pear, ripe citrus, lime nose; tasty, poised, tart pear, mineral, lime palate; medium-plus finish (554 views)

Melon de Bourgogne

Melon de Bourgogne or Melon is a variety of white grape grown primarily in the Loire Valley region of France. It is also grown in North America. It is best known through its use in the white wine Muscadet.

In the U.S., Federal law prevents "Muscadet" from being used for American-produced wine; only the full name of the grape, or the shortened "Melon" can be used.
