Tasted by Rudolph Schmidt on 2/26/2024 flawed bottle: Corked (272 views)
Tasted by toddmk on 12/28/2023 & rated 95 points: Delicious. Really classy Cali Cab! In really good shape after 20 minutes of air. Drink now or over the next 3 to 5 years. Could hold it longer but don’t see it getting that much better with age. (401 views)
Tasted by Quimet on 12/7/2023: Amanda and I rated it 93-94 Dale thought it was very good and could discern a difference between this wine and the Groth (428 views)
Tasted by mmcleod on 9/16/2021 & rated 91 points: Wow, big bold yet very luscious (1394 views)
Tasted by D. Richmond on 2/19/2021 & rated 90 points: I was disappointed. It still has harsh tannins even after 2 hours of air but what really surprised me was the absence of fruit and flavor. It's not worth the freight unless I just got a bad bottle. (1705 views)
Tasted by cubswinws on 10/13/2018 & rated 95 points: Wonderful wine. Still young but lots of power and racy tannins. Would wait 4-5 years to open the next one. (3367 views)
Tasted by HowellMountainCru on 4/20/2018 & rated 93 points: Popped and decanted at restaurant. Earthy pleasant aroma. Well balanced medium full body. Black fruit and almost Bordeaux-like character but showing more (plum) fruit. Big drape due to higher alcohol but not at all hot. Overall excellent wine that paired well with an American Wagyu filet. (3719 views)
Tasted by wineman73 on 8/11/2017 & rated 94 points: Signorello Estate (5 course lunch food and wine pairing) (Signorello Estate): Dark garnet red in color. The 2013 Padrone Estate is a blend of 92% cabernet sauvignon, 5% merlot, and 3% cab franc. Medium to heavy viscosity. The nose was a mixture of rose petal, black currant, blackberry and earth. The taste provided flavors of dark fruits, vanilla and a hint of black cherry. A nice luscious finish. The wine was structure well and had very nice tannins, which paired well with the Wagyu grilled meat. This wine is built to age. A nice wine from a great vintage. Age another 20-25 years. Score 94. (4747 views)
Tasted by nathycat on 11/16/2016 & rated 97 points: I was impress by this wine. it is very rich, with lots of flavors of dark berries.
It has a long finish, a winner. (3892 views)
Tasted by mcease on 11/11/2016 & rated 94 points: Tasted at the ONIC tasting. Very nice wine. Currently it is too young and tannic and needs some time. Cassis, blueberry, and dark/ripe red currents which lend itself to dark, yet bright fruit notes on the pallet. Long finish. Drink 2020-2040+ (3415 views)
Tasted by Peter Phil on 9/12/2016 & rated 97 points: This is an impressive Napa valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
layers of blue berries, cassis ,new leather.
Long finish , rich and supple, will age for 20 years. (2428 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
