Smooth and full on the palate with the sweet saddle leather coming through with provencal herbs. Screwcap and holding up well with no sign of aging, still very fruity. (1395 views) | | | Tasted by Rob-Rah on 10/7/2010 & rated 86 points: Red. Not the depth of youth, but not aged yet. Bouquet quite lovely inisitlly, though a strange dusty-urine-y=to-apricotty-chemically smell pops through it. Perhaps less-than-perfect Viognier handled clumsily? Palate too acidc for me. Out of balance. Needs more depth and texture: again this feels more like a white wine than red in some ways. (1824 views) | | | Tasted by jamieirving on 7/26/2008 & rated 80 points: Medium purple in colour, this wine showed ripe berry fruits - including jammy raspberry and cherry - as well as a floral charcter on the nose. The palate was smooth and mouth filling. More red fruit, subtle white pepper and a hint of spice. No great length on the finish, but still nice. (1867 views) |
