Tasted by RDB Wine on 1/9/2021 & rated 60 points: Drank from Bin East 18. In cellar since July 2017 after Karla’s Ironman Santa Rosa. $28.00. Light butterscotch vanilla nose. Sparkling medium yellow. Burst of vanilla then butterscotch and dry acidic finish. Past prime a bit. 6/10. (652 views)
Tasted by MatVino2014 on 4/13/2018 & rated 88 points: Excellent Chardonnay d'une très bonne région, chêne très agréable et bien balancé avec notes de cassonade. (1961 views)

Tasted by vegasoenophile on 2/1/2018 & rated 86 points: Aromas of honey-poached pear, green apple, nutmeg and cream. Has some nice acidity to balance the somewhat forward oak The toasty notes add nice dimension to the pear and apple notes and there's hints of grilled pineapple. A tinge of cinnamon zest. (1894 views)
Tasted by Tahlequahdave1972 on 9/27/2017 & rated 88 points: Nice chardonnay which should continue to improve over the next year plus. Golden yellow. Nose of lemon, butter, vanilla and oak. Palate follows the nose with peach, butter cream and a hint of stone fruits. Medium mouth feel and body; well balanced with only a slightly heated finish. Very solid wine which should appeal to most "white wine" drinkers. (1565 views)
Tasted by Loren Sonkin on 9/23/2017 & rated 87 points: Solid wine. A bit too much fresh cut lumber profile for the oak, at least for my tastes. Light gold in color. The nose has fresh cut lumber and slight grapefruit. On the palate, similar profiles. Slightly searing on the back end. Drink this cold IMO. YMMV. (1718 views)
Tasted by Brent25 on 8/27/2017 & rated 89 points: Medium gold with green hints; nose of lemon, buttered popcorn, white peaches, and vanilla; palate follows nose; medium/long finish; well balanced; always a crowd pleaser (1412 views)
Tasted by Motz on 6/27/2017 & rated 88 points: Not half bad. Reasonably restrained for California Chardonnay, moderate oak, and very good balance. (2025 views)
Tasted by zack.wygant on 6/19/2017 & rated 87 points: Solid Chardonnay....always a great producer for the price. (1485 views)
Tasted by Brent25 on 5/21/2017 & rated 88 points: Golden colour with lovely balance of butter, vanilla and lemon/lime (992 views)

The Chardonnay Grape

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
