Rustic, a bit brambly and rough and tumble, it is nonetheless not overdone at all. Blueberry, hints of oak remain, now as cigar box and cedar. Peppery. Palate has dusty tannins, great acid, mineral. Balance and maturity are real here - it is just at that lovely spot now. Sure, it doesn't have the length, the complexity, or the overall regal nature of a Pauillac or Margaux classed growth - but nor does it have the price tag. Great with a simple pot roast.
