Tasted by foyfrcs on 12/24/2023 & rated 88 points: Flattening out a little, but still drinking well and I see still for sale at £10/bottles (IB) with F&R. Still black fruits with earth/cedar. Good for another year or two, one bottle left. (172 views)
Tasted by foyfrcs on 8/14/2022 & rated 89 points: Same comments as June 2021.
Still drinking well and can’t emphasise enough the value at c £11/bottle while still available In Uk.
Will be good for another couple of years (at least.) (817 views)
Tasted by Skyedog on 5/18/2022 & rated 89 points: Very nice wine for the price; very drinkable, smooth wine. Not big, not light, easy everyday wine. (920 views)
Tasted by empire80 on 1/13/2022 & rated 89 points: Exotic spice and tobacco on the nose. On the palate the bitter cherry fruit fades to a hint of liquorice. A nicely mature Rhône, don't wait. (1200 views)
Tasted by Vinomazing on 11/25/2021 & rated 88 points: Served w/ Thanksgiving dinner aongside another red. Opened 1 hour prior. Stellar nose, just incredible. Taste was of the light red was looking for to pair w/ turkey foods. Slight attack, decently upfront flavors, in between fruity and secondary, slight bitter that has its place. Very nice wine for the $. (1376 views)
Tasted by Laz4wine on 11/18/2021 & rated 88 points: Drink up before it fades away. (1080 views)
Tasted by foyfrcs on 6/7/2021 & rated 89 points: Medium ruby.
Plums, prunes, dried blackberries nose/palate.
Well balanced, medium finish.
Very good wine, but not as good as the Tessellae old vines 2017 tasted last evening.
Very good value, I don’t think it will improve, but should drink well for another couple of years. (1006 views)
Tasted by AjitK on 3/22/2021 & rated 88 points: Gorgeous medium ruby red color. Just brilliant to look at. On the nose, ripe fruit like prunes, plums with mild earth. On the palette, medium-light body, fruit has dissipated a lot (I got just a touch of bright cherries), secondary flavors dominate like bitter Mediterranean herbs. Long, looong finish. 14.5% alcohol is so well integrated. Doesn’t feel too hot. Tannins are fully resolved. I think it’s a year past it’s prime. Drink up. Didn’t improve much after an hour or two in glass, except I enjoyed the nose a bit more with some light oaky, tobacco leaf coming through. Savory finish. (1213 views)
Tasted by larrypitoni@gmail.com on 10/7/2020 & rated 91 points: Perfect match for our turkey style dinner. (1337 views)
Tasted by foyfrcs on 7/26/2020 & rated 89 points: Medium ruby. Dark fruits, berries on the nose.
Similar palate, dry, quite well balanced.
Still drinking well.
Should last for another 2/3 years I think. (1437 views)
Tasted by afields on 5/28/2020: Red fruit, a bit of earth and licorice, a bit of spice. M body, M- acid and tannin. Shows the warm vintage and on its own this is a bit indistinct, but it paired perfectly with Chinese five spice and ginger tofu. I liked the 2014 vintage better for sure, and I think this is on the tail end of its drinking window, but it’s a solid value, especially considering there aren’t many 100% Carignan wines around. I’ll buy again in a cooler vintage. ~5.5-6/10 (1655 views)
Tasted by Laz4wine on 5/23/2020 & rated 89 points: Similar TN to IDRUM...dark black and blue fruits, meaty/earthy, a touch of asphalt, nice spice and pepper, smooth finish but not terribly complex. Air time and day 2 helped it open up more fully. Interested to try again next spring for possible improvement. (1437 views)
Tasted by Dan & Krista Stockman on 3/22/2020 & rated 91 points: Wow! A huge wine, with big, lush fruit. A real blockbuster. (1594 views)
Tasted by hoya_saxa on 1/3/2020 & rated 92 points: Case buy if you can find it. Intense dark fruit with some teeth and complexity at the $15 price point doesn't grow on trees (these carignan vines though, apparently yes) (1537 views)
Tasted by BaylinBoy on 11/26/2019 & rated 90 points: Deep Robby strong cherry and crushed leaves, solid tannins but rounded taste and lingering finish. Better after some time in air, great on second day. (1387 views)
Tasted by iDrum4Wine on 10/6/2019 & rated 89 points: Purple hue that opens licorice and star anise aromas. Black currant and prune flavors dominate the front palate while cured meat and baking spices follow through on a long finish. Good fruit/acidity balance and medium smooth tannins round out a lovely wine. (1534 views)
Tasted by dwood on 7/18/2019 & rated 89 points: An excellent BBQ wine. Better on the cooler side at 16 degrees.
Give a 2-3hrs decant.
1/2 bottle was corked and put back in cellar at 12 degrees. It was excellent and had improved the 2nd day. The strong Carignan palate had mellowed for the better. It is more of a food wine (served with venison steaks) (1817 views)
Tasted by CondorKhan on 6/22/2019 & rated 89 points: Easy drinking bistro wine, loaded with blackberry flavors and nice acidity. (1556 views)
Tasted by foyfrcs on 5/24/2019 & rated 88 points: Smooth, medium/full bodied, drinking well, enjoyable. (1480 views)
Tasted by mzmijewski on 11/19/2018 & rated 92 points: Smooth and easy drinking. Nice finish with memorable acid ending. (2366 views)
Tasted by cuffthis on 11/16/2018 & rated 88 points: Medium purple in color, this wine showed cedar, cassis. cherry compote and dried plums on the nose. The mouth feel was medium bodied with ever softening tannins and added elements of violets and lavender. The finish was tight at first but opened up nicely over the course of the 90 minutes the bottle was open. 14.5% abv.

Purchased for $13US, this is a well made, thoroughly enjoyable bottle that clearly shows is place of origin. It has enough upfront fruit to keep New World wine fans happy also.

An Eric Solomon Selection. Imported by European Cellar, LLC, Charlotte, NC. (1838 views)
Tasted by Bax62 on 11/7/2018 & rated 88 points: Dark purple color in the glass. The wine begins to open up after 20-30 minutes. Dark berries with olive and licorice notes. (1725 views)
Tasted by Nyrican on 10/29/2018 & rated 88 points: Ok (1692 views)
Tasted by Joclo71 on 10/18/2018 & rated 87 points: Beaucoup de fruit mure, costaud, acidité faible et tannin soyeux. Bon, mais peu complexe. (1710 views)
Tasted by jdallen4000 on 10/8/2018 & rated 92 points: Consistently delicious. Excellent expression of Carignan at a great price. I always keep this in stock. (1214 views)
