 Tasted by La Cave d'Argent on 2/24/2021 & rated 90 points: Stéphane Vedeau's 2016 La Ferme du Mont Côtes du Rhône Premiere Cote is a deep ruby/red blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre that delivers aromas and flavors of dark bramble fruits, bacon, Provençal herbs and peppered steak. Full-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14%) and with very subtle oak, it stays solid on the middle palate and finishes with good length. This will last longer than predicted by the pundits. Drink now-2024. (870 views)

A perfect choice when you just want something tasty to drink without thinking too much about it, but with no compromise in quality. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again, especially at this price.  Tasted by Vintopia on 4/29/2019 & rated 88 points: The 2016 Côtes du Rhône Premiere Cote is made up of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre and exhibits a nose of strawberry, maraschino cherry, violet and spice. Copious amounts of sweet red fruit emerge on the palate alongside fine-grained tannins. This is a fantastic wine for those in search of a bargain ideal for up-front drinking. (1436 views)

Medium ruby color. Raspberry, blueberry, spice box, lavender, pepper and oak. Succulent and fresh, with flavors of blue and red berry on the palate. Firm tannins. (1533 views)

Medium/Deep Ruby color. Aromas of plums, red currant, white pepper, mushroom and garrigue. Velvety and concentrated on the palate, with loads of earthy dark berries, hints of blueberry and a savory, rigid finish that goes on for a long time. (1043 views)
 Tasted by cono_sur on 11/24/2017 & rated 88 points: Medium+ intensity nose is ripe with dark cherry, dark berry, earth, brett, licorice, and raspberry aromas gain complexity with air, introducing kirsch liqueur and coffee aromas. It's medium+ bodied with ripe tannins, nice aroma replays plus some floral notes. Acid are very good and the finish length is good. Drinkable now, but will improve in a few years time. (904 views)

Owner and Winemaker Stephane Vedeau and his team use their passion to produce the finest wines. As an independent family business, FDM has a duty to offer excellent service to its clients, to establish and maintain long term relationships and to preserve the land ready to pass on to the next generation. Our vines grow in a completely natural environment in harmony with Provencal vegetation. The vines are tended all year long with the sole aim of producing top quality fruit. No chemicals or pesticides are used (other than in the case of disease) We believe that Fine Wine can only be produced from top quality grapes. Vintage after vintage FDM renews the tradition of the lasting bond between ex- traordinary grapes and their unique soil to produce wines of excellence.

Red Rhone Blend

On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
