Tasted by Neecies on 10/15/2018: Doran's. Pithy with gunpowder notes, very dry with good minerality. (714 views)
Tasted by UpfromtheCellar on 4/16/2018 & rated 89 points: This is a tough one to write a review on - there are so many different versions of this particular wine in the potential categories - it seems that each reviewer has a slightly different take on the name so instead of being one or two there is like 5 different versions of this that should probably all be consolidated. In any event I couldn't find 2011 in any of the categories so here goes:

Lemon and stone fruit with a big streak of minerality running right through the center of this glass. Its almost like you are drinking a wine with a stone swizzle stick adding extra flavor. Its nice but I think this wine still needs a little more time. I have had older Muscadets and they were a little more rounded that this one is at present. Still, a very nice glass of wine that paired well with a nice piece of Halibut. (873 views)
Tasted by Francophile on 3/20/2016 & rated 89 points: Another good Muscadet (884 views)
Tasted by Francophile on 9/11/2015 & rated 89 points: Nice fresh Muscadet (895 views)
Tasted by Francophile on 7/19/2015 & rated 89 points: Nicer than the Pierre Guindon and a pretty good Muscadet if you like these wines this will be a good one to try. (899 views)
Tasted by BarkingLeopard on 2/1/2015: Very good, would buy again. (1267 views)
Tasted by wmccone54 on 11/27/2013 & rated 90 points: Lighter textured, displaying a medium and bright golden color. Nice fresh aromatics. Salty, stony, and ashy minerality, with apple, lime, and grapefruit flavors. Great acidity. Crisp and dry in the mouth leading to a long lasting finish. Very good example of the varietal and a welcome break from Chardonnay. (1908 views)
Tasted by Atwellian on 8/27/2013 & rated 88 points: Clear gold with a hint of brass. Mineral & grapefruit nose. Salty, dry, grapefruit and lemon, long finish, very good and a real value. (1598 views)

Melon de Bourgogne

Melon de Bourgogne or Melon is a variety of white grape grown primarily in the Loire Valley region of France. It is also grown in North America. It is best known through its use in the white wine Muscadet.

In the U.S., Federal law prevents "Muscadet" from being used for American-produced wine; only the full name of the grape, or the shortened "Melon" can be used.

Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine

Muscadet (mus-ka-DAY) is a region in the western part of the Loire valley, near the city of Nantes. White wines from Muscadet are made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape. They tend to be light in color and body, and are intensely mineral driven. They are thought to be a perfect complement to raw oysters from the nearby coast. Muscadets are gleefully paired, though, with any fresh shellfish or other seafood.

There are a couple of appellations in Muscadet, the best of which is considered to be Muscadet de Sevre et Maine. And the best bottles from that appellation are aged sur-lie, or on the lees, the musty mix of yeasts and other post-fermentation solids. This aging provides flavor complexity that can be missing in other bottles.
