Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 87.2 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 5 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by ISOPinot on 9/1/2019 & rated 82 points: Salmon with hints of orange, excellent clarity. Fast legs. Aroma is clearly strawberry: very subtle cherry and dust. On the palate, strawberry prevails alone. Narrow texture, short finish, medium acidity. Impression: a basic summer quaff, simple, lacking in complexity. Given bottle appearance and naming of wine, seems to be a marketing-hype type wine. At $17, QPR substantially below average (this was a gift; we won't re-purchase). Drink now. (1142 views)
Tasted by Martin Redmond on 7/15/2018 & rated 89 points: The Pleasures of Provencal Rose: Color: Pale pink with golden highlights
Aromas: Wild strawberries, ripe cherries, white flowers with hints of yellow melon, blood orange and pleasing bit of sea breeze
Body: Light-bodied, dry and very fresh
Taste: Strawberries, raspberry, cherry, blood orange, watermelon and spice
Finish: Medium-long

Blend of 50% Grenache Noir, 25% Cinsault, and 25% Syrah. 12.5% abv|SRP - $16.00 (1583 views)
Tasted by Christine Havens on 5/23/2018 & rated 92 points: A mere 25 miles from the shimmering depthless azure blue of the Mediterranean, this grenache-dominant rosé from Château de Berne, aptly named 'Emotion' is a delicious romp through summer’s bounty—wild strawberries, fresh cherries, and golden raspberries. Cresting over this bushel-basket of fruit, white flowers, and wafting, sea breezes. In the mouth, it's light and vivid, a ballerina's arching acid spine that knits together apricot and pink pomelo notes. The finish...a tidepool of minerality. 12.5% ABV | Sample (1398 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 4/23/2018 & rated 87 points: Some Rose Samples: Very pale copper color, like the inside of a grapefruit rind. So fresh and spicy on the nose, with nettle, dandelion, white pepper and honeysuckle, on top of plump peach and green melon. Crisp acidity, plush texture, lots of fruit (white cherry, lemon, peach) laced with white pepper and dandelion. Fresh, fruity, spicy, nice stuff for the price. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
