| Tasted by btock on 6/12/2020 & rated 90 points: I continue to enjoy this lean and pale rose style from the Varois producers that Garagiste has introduced me to. Delayed in shipment by a season, this still had does of fresh snappy acidity and was a great June patio wine with cheeses, flatbread, etc. The Cinsault and Grenache led blend has a nice wild strawberry pucker and mouthwatering acidity. Nice, would look for this again in future vintages. (945 views) |
| Tasted by Francophile on 6/6/2020 & rated 90 points: Celebrating our week in Provence, where we were not as planned because of COVID-19. Did a Zoom meeting with our friends over there. This is a nice CdeP. Sadly only had 3 and now all gone. (919 views) |
| Tasted by bretrooks on 5/2/2020: Consumed over ~2 hours in small pours at fridge temp. Ripe melon (watermelon) and a bit of bubblegum on the nose straight out of the fridge, but plenty of grapefruit acidity and a refreshing pithy bitterness on the palate. Pretty good QPR here. (983 views) |
| Tasted by Francophile on 5/1/2020 & rated 90 points: I love Cote de Provence Rose which is wonderfully pale and is lovely and refreshing. This was a very good representative. (816 views) |
| Tasted by downpantera on 4/28/2020 & rated 90 points: Soft and refreshing, melon, peach, strawberry. A touch sweeter than I had hoped. Would buy again, good qpr for sure. (847 views) |

| Tasted by CWilliam on 8/26/2019 & rated 88 points: Did not take good notes as this was enjoyed by the pool. Not all that memorable but it was enjoyable. Not a re-buy. 88+/- (1279 views) |
| Tasted by Nojomoschwa on 7/30/2019 & rated 85 points: Did you know this was the Best Rosé in Thailand (J'suck)?!?!?! Well, I know the estate, and the wines are sometimes quite good, but I found this very disjointed and clunky. Still, for under $10, how much can you complain? Not horrible, and probably quite a lot of rosé for the money when considering what else is out there at this price. (1309 views) |
| Tasted by srh on 7/6/2019: Sat, 07/06/19, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Typically, 45% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, & 20% Syrah; 8% of the Syrah ONLY sees barrels & undergoes malolactic, everything else is s/s & has malo blocked; 13.5% ABV
N: Grapiness SLIGHTLY atop flowers with undertones of minerals
P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish, applish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) offset by an acidity which evolves into a LONG, tangy/swt finish with hints of raisins & an incipient quasi-bitter flatness. The finish likely disqualifies it as a quaff. For now & through '20. My VG/VG+; [Check with this vendor if interested in their very COMPETITIVE price.] (1412 views) |
| Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/15/2019: A little bit dumb on the nose. The original Belier family estate. A little fuller in the mid palate. (1375 views) |
| Tasted by srh on 5/4/2019: Sat, 05/04/19, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Typically, 45% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, & 20% Syrah; 8% of the Syrah ONLY sees barrels & undergoes malolactic, everything else is s/s & has malo blocked; 13.5% ABV
N: Grapiness atop flowers with notes of spice
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.) controlled by acidity which deftly sets the parameters into the LONG, poss very, VERY slightly bitterish finish with a tangy/swtness & an OCCASIONAL glimpse of raisins. Primarily a quaffer which MIGHT work with luncheon entrees. For now & through '20. My VG+. [This vendor's $11.95 puts it in the top 20% of wine-searcher's postings.] (1295 views) |
