Tasted by VAGentleman on 5/27/2023 & rated 92 points: Full enough to be interesting but rustic and simple enough to enjoy readily Black and blueberries on the front with brambles, licorice and touch of rose followup. Great for red sauce pasta and sautéed vegetables (fresh spinach from the garden) (614 views)
Tasted by BernieMSY on 5/2/2022 & rated 91 points: 60 minute decant. Tart fruit. Good tannic pucker. Solid value. Not too complicated, just an enjoyable Sangiovese with just enough complexity to keep things interesting. Drinking well right now (1119 views)
Tasted by BernieMSY on 9/9/2021 & rated 92 points: Opened for 60 minutes. Light burgundy color, sweet cherry nose. Lots of black cherry fruit, with a touch of tobacco and tar. Nice acidity bakances the effort. This wine has improved since last time. (1061 views)
Tasted by VAGentleman on 7/31/2021 & rated 90 points: Straightforward Chianti. Great value for price. Red fruit with broad initial impact following through to well rounded leather accented licorice and fern. (969 views)
Tasted by finovino3 on 3/16/2021 & rated 92 points: Relatively high tannins now should resolve in 2 or 3 years, but still ready to drink now. Immense fruit and good long out. Great QPR considering Antinori CC as a comparable at $19. (1170 views)

Tasted by BernieMSY on 6/21/2020 & rated 91 points: Young and somewhat tannic, rounded flavor profile, balanced acidity. Dark fruits, lingering finish. Lots of upside. Incredible QPR (1037 views)
Tasted by lolo66 on 5/6/2020 & rated 90 points: more structured than it lets on. biting acidity for a long time and then with ample air, it begins to show that lovely dusty cherry attribute that I look for in chianti. Give it a few more years, or just allow a long slow ox/decant. A lot of bang for your buck here. (1090 views)
Tasted by Papa Eo on 4/18/2020 & rated 88 points: Don’t even recall where we got this Chianti but really enjoyed this one. (735 views)
Tasted by Coupe 60 on 4/17/2020: PnP and had with homemade pizza. Definitely needs airtime or more cellar time. A serious chianti, that reminded my of a BdM. Leather cherry, acidity, and some grit. Good now, but will be even better with some tlme (962 views)
Tasted by Soreng on 5/26/2019 & rated 91 points: Really good and by far the best basic CC from capraia Ii have tasted. Zesty, dark cherry-fruity, some spices and very mineral, medium+ body now, will ubdoubtedly increase in intensity with time. Very elegant with typical heavy sangiovese acidity plus a licorise finish with a touch of oil to balance it. This will be amazing in 5-8 years. Needs serious decanting at this point to show its true depth and qualities - I will(try to) wait at least 4 years before i open the next, and look for more in the meantime. 91-94. JS 92 (1290 views)
