Dark fruit, spice mellowed. Well made wine (1533 views) | | Tasted by Wine2372 on 8/28/2021 & rated 93 points: Dark plum, blueberry, stewed strawberry, wet stone, and tobacco. Rich, elegant, full-bodied Syrah blend, and the hint of Viognier gives it a distinctive softness. Fine vintage of this Clos Solene benchmark. (1357 views) | | Tasted by Kayentacellars on 5/18/2021 & rated 94 points: Nice rich aromas, blueberry, tobacco, cassis, plum and hint of dark chocolate. Full body, moderate acidity, prominent tannins, not too harsh and lingering on the long finish. Will improve with more time in the bottle, but no complaints at this time. A beautiful Syrah, well balanced, but dont really appreciate any significant contribution from the Grenache. (1306 views) | | Tasted by cubswinws on 2/17/2021 & rated 92 points: Very nice syrah dominated wine with nice floral lift on the nose. (1328 views) | | Tasted by Lee Fining on 7/23/2019 & rated 92 points: Medium garnet red. Moderate dark red fruit nose. Strong presence of tannins significantly masking dark red fruit flavors. Very well made, but very young. More than likely, if I taste in a few years, the score will be higher (1857 views) |

Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Coasthttp://www.ccwinegrowers.org/links.html
