| Community Tasting Notes (average 89.3 pts. and median of 89 pts. in 15 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by kcnikunj on 4/11/2021 & rated 89 points: PNP, straightforward and without muddiness, nor overly tannic. Pleasant nose and very drinkable. This was my last bottle, it might have held up for a couple more years. (340 views) | | Tasted by AllRed on 12/13/2020 & rated 89 points: Red berry and currant with white pepper undertones. Medium-bodied with nice red fruit and subtle herb elements. Nice acidity. (617 views) | | Tasted by noahbw on 11/26/2020 & rated 89 points: nose of stones, dirt, minerals, black pepper, green pepper, dust. black mature fruit on the palate. Fills and coats the mouth while being fully bright and dry with tannins. (400 views) | | Tasted by MC on 10/5/2020: PNP and tasted over 3 hours. Bright red fruit on the nose. Ripe, concentrated, nice finish with supporting tannin. Very good CDR that is not at the Dunnuck review level for me but certainly easy to enjoy and not a bad price. B+/A- (525 views) | | Tasted by AllRed on 4/11/2020 & rated 88 points: Popped and poured. Hints of pepper and red berry fruit, a touch ripe, something a little funky too- perhaps a subtle hint of brett. Medium-bodied. Red berry compote, white pepper and red plum flavors. Drink now. (771 views) | | Tasted by AllRed on 1/25/2020 & rated 90 points: 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Sue's): Blind. Red and black fruit with pepper overtones. More of the same on the palate. Medium-bodied with a nice finish. Easy to pick out as a Rhone blend, though I didn't know it was ours.
Very good for what it is, though I am not certain it will ever be the wine that Dunnuck claimed, not that that should be a surprise. (637 views) |
