Tasted by donna_w on 5/31/2020 & rated 87 points: Beautiful wine. Fresh and tasty. (951 views)
Tasted by merlot78 on 5/8/2020 & rated 89 points: My first unoaked chard. I spent more time swirling the wine in my glass than I did drinking it. The different fruit aromas was amazing. On the palate the fruit was more in the back ground and the chardonnay grape came through. The finish was short.
I will buy again. (1055 views)
Tasted by Tabergman on 12/23/2019 & rated 90 points: Really nice example of why Chardonnay should have no or little oak. Let's the fruit shine. Wonderful. (1294 views)
Tasted by pamitos on 11/23/2019 & rated 86 points: This was a great pairing for cod fish (1283 views)
Tasted by HMike on 10/19/2019: Liked it a lot with roasted cauliflower and salmon. (653 views)
Tasted by JohnVA on 9/22/2019: Love the unoaked taste of this Chardonnay. Would definitely buy again. (499 views)
Tasted by wordwoman on 9/5/2019 & rated 85 points: Initial impression on the nose is pretty mild, maybe honeyed pear and butter. The taste is bright and smooth and buttery with great body and a long, sweet finish. I catch maybe some melon and... I'm not sure, grapefruit? (440 views)

Chardonnay

The Chardonnay Grape

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
