Tasted by Giggs on 11/11/2022 & rated 92 points: 11eleven tasting: Drinking really well, mature, not terribly complex but the fruit is massive. (768 views)
Tasted by Giggs on 10/24/2022 & rated 91 points: Still a nice bottle, but it’s now fully mature and the fruit has dried out a bit. Peppered meat, cacao, blackberry. Drink now. (663 views)
Tasted by Dog lover on 1/29/2022: Ok but wiuld not buy again. (1156 views)
Tasted by EMark on 10/3/2021: Slightly jammy fruit--raspberry, stone fruit--on the tip of the tongue, Then I notice some black pepper spice, As the wine passes bzck towards rear palate, it seems to mellow out, I then get some pleasing baking spice sensation. A nice wine but certainly not a "special dinner" wine. (1338 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 9/25/2021 & rated 90 points: 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (M&R's): Double blind. Jammy raspberry fruit and spice aromas. Medium-bodied, with abundant red and black fruit on the palate. Balanced, with good length and fruit in the finish. Ripe but not overly so, I guessed zinfandel here. (R&S) (1570 views)
Tasted by lucagiupponi on 4/22/2021 & rated 88 points: Decanted two hours. Packs a punch! High acidity, dark fruit, robust tannins, this wine has it all. It’s delicious but a bit too in your face for my taste. (1175 views)
Tasted by JERB on 4/16/2021 & rated 90 points: The value on this wine is what impresses me most! At $22 this is fabulous. It is not as rich and multi-dimensional as Tensley's Colson Canyon, but it is quite good. The grenache leads - it is much lighter than a Tensley syrah, but that's to be expected with this blend of grapes. (1103 views)
Tasted by ElJefeTX on 2/12/2021 & rated 93 points: GSM blend from Santa Barbara from a dynamite producer. 85% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 1% Mourvèdre. Deep ruby in the glass with a fluorescent purple rim and thick, droopy tears. Aromas of blackberry, brown butter, cocoa and earth. On the palate, precise black cherry, rich plum, anise and white pepper. Tannins are finely polished and well integrated leading to a long, seamless finish. (961 views)
Tasted by LCHammer on 12/7/2020 & rated 88 points: First day - no good. I actually considered the kitchen sink but kept it around and am glad I did. Great drinker on days 2 and 3. Just enough acidity and balance to go with the pork cutlets. (988 views)
Tasted by Dfortin9 on 11/17/2020 & rated 92 points: Deep purple. Angular, concentrated and aromatic offering black fruits, tobacco, dark chocolate, plum and violet. Hot with well defined edges. Need a little bit more hanging time in my opinion but have all the ingredients of an outstanding wine. NI:4, FI:22, FC:9, B:3, L:4 (959 views)
Tasted by Jobu on 11/8/2020 & rated 91 points: Red berry, stones, & perfume on the nose. Lighter bodied than expected. Red berries and some of that stony minerality from the nose. Black pepper & a hint of smoke. Good but not close to the past few vintages. (853 views)
Tasted by RockyII on 10/3/2020 & rated 84 points: Going against the grain on this one. Little disappointed with this one given others rating but very reasonably priced. Grenache dominated GSM. Fruit is pretty good but there is a doughy unbaked pastry and raisin undercurrent that pervades. Also low on acidity and tannins which leaves it “flat” tho not fat. About 84-85 at best. (1162 views)
Tasted by pommieba@cox.net on 9/17/2020 & rated 90 points: A favourite Rhone style blend, rich opulent fruit and well balanced. (276 views)
Tasted by joseph120 on 8/11/2020: Nice black fruit mid-palate, no spice, at least moderate acid on the finish, which was mostly gone after 45 minutes of air. Finish was smooth, unlike the 2016 Château Pesquié Ventoux Artemia that we had the week before. (1008 views)
Tasted by pommieba@cox.net on 8/4/2020 & rated 90 points: Grenache/Syrah, bold fruit - Cherry/Blackberry & Plum with Pepper. Well balanced with soft ripe tannins & good acidity. Finishes with peppery notes +dark Cherry and maybe touch of Oak. Great example of a Santa Barbara blend. Paired well with rack of lamb (771 views)
Tasted by Giggs on 3/19/2020 & rated 93 points: Why chase high-end CdP bombs when you can get Grenache perfection like this for $30. (1170 views)
Tasted by JERB on 3/17/2020 & rated 90 points: Very solid wine for a Tuesday night in the midst of these incredibly weird and stressful times! Specific notes?? Not really. It went very well with grilled lamb. (901 views)
Tasted by pgm on 3/10/2020 & rated 90 points: A bright nearly tart and peppery wine. Good black fruit gives it dimension. Medium body. Red currant finish. (876 views)
Tasted by 1NOWNLY on 2/18/2020 & rated 94 points: BIG..doesn’t have the spice that Tensley usually shows in PNP varietals and thats why I love it. Spice box to me is a no go. This shows good black fruit but the grenache comes out swinging like the Astros in 17. Let it breathe for 2 hrs before consuming CT’ers. (785 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
