Tasted by Wdm5 on 5/25/2023: Took to Lake Texoma (504 views)
Tasted by Cuellar's Cellar on 3/22/2023 & rated 90 points: a great wine that everyone will enjoy!! Nice citrus notes. Great with food as well!! Cheers (616 views)
Tasted by Dr. Wine MD PhD ;) on 9/4/2022 & rated 90 points: A pleasant summer wine with high acidity and aromas of grapefruit, passionfruit, guava, peach among others. It makes you happy :) A little sweeter than I was expecting having had more Cali Sauv blancs. Not sure if the cause of sweetness it is the NZ region or the younger age. I think it should stay good for at least a year or two if not more. (876 views)
Tasted by M.M. on 10/21/2021 & rated 84 points: Similar smell to graywacke. Juicy fruit, eucalyptus, pineapple.
Taste: dry, high note, a bit thin which is suitable for the style. Seems sweet... I wonder what the residual sugar is... Not as good as graywacke, but enjoyable and approachable. I suspect I'll get tired of the sugar before too long.
R: liked it (1715 views)
Tasted by madvitale on 8/26/2021 & rated 89 points: Bright, fresh, and fruity. Nice acidity. (1847 views)
Tasted by Steve Simmons on 6/11/2021 & rated 89 points: Wife and I Liked this better than the 2020 Allen scott we had right after this as the Whitehaven felt a bit fresher with more pleasing acidity. Good QPR. Would buy again (1802 views)
Tasted by steve_and_mary on 4/24/2021 & rated 87 points: Very good Sau Blanc, we prefer this over Kim Crawford at this price point. (1924 views)
Tasted by thirdeye99 on 4/19/2021 & rated 91 points: Surprisingly delicious. (1730 views)
Tasted by David 123 on 4/11/2021 & rated 80 points: Fruity New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Goo go-to for the $14 price. (1246 views)
Tasted by runite on 4/4/2021 & rated 89 points: Dry. Not too sweet. Not a lot of complex flavors (1188 views)
Tasted by prasm on 3/4/2021 & rated 89 points: From a 375, consumed over an hour. Appearance: Pale lemon. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity, aromas of tropical fruit - pineapple and mango, fresh cut grass, acacia flowers, and pear. Palate: Medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium- body, medium+ intensity, showing flavors of pineapple, bell pepper, and pear with a medium+ finish. Conclusion: Very good effort - not overly complex but showing excellent intensity and length, though the tropical fruit dominates and throws the balance off just a bit (agree with Fingers, keep this chilled to keep in balance). Still a tasty quaff for the money. (1164 views)
Tasted by tabrand on 2/21/2021: Would buy again (993 views)
Tasted by joholman@mac.com on 1/14/2021 & rated 90 points: Light/pale Yellow. Typical example of NZ SB. Great everyday wine for the price. (1144 views)
Tasted by Golfer70 on 12/21/2020: Very good. Definitely will get again (1240 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 12/12/2020 & rated 87 points: Light yellow color. Lively aromas of lemon, guava and ruby red grapefruit, with subtle herbal, peppery tones, white flowers in the mix as well. Ripe and plush on the palate with flavors of grapefruit, white peach and guava, accented with daisies and honeysuckle. A ripe and spicy feel but balanced and nuanced as well. (1253 views)
Tasted by dlduchon on 12/11/2020 & rated 89 points: Great citrus fruit and NZ style SB typicity. Top QPR. Decent intensity of flavors. (1128 views)
Tasted by bordeauxman777 on 11/30/2020 & rated 88 points: Seems diluted on the palate, but the nose is powerful. Underwhelming. (1063 views)
Tasted by Achromat on 11/14/2020 & rated 86 points: A softer style with slight grass, lemon and slight pineapple notes. Good acid balance. A bit atypical in style for NZ. (1048 views)
Tasted by SBHTravels on 11/10/2020 & rated 80 points: Very crisp and lots of citrus but hints of grass (1012 views)
Tasted by redmancge on 10/25/2020 & rated 88 points: Very nice grapefruit and citrus without being overly tart or grassiness like a lot of NZ Sauvignon Blanc wines. Very easy drinking wine by itself or with food. At $13.50 a good QPR and definite rebuy on my list for nice weekday wine. (1122 views)
Tasted by mjgkng on 10/20/2020 & rated 88 points: Rich grapefruit flavor. Well balanced. (1095 views)
Tasted by dlduchon on 10/8/2020 & rated 88 points: Refreshing and citrusy. Clean, crisp finish. Great QPR. (1156 views)
Tasted by jmull on 9/20/2020 & rated 89 points: Pale color. In the classic Marlborough vein but not overdone. Lovely peach and pineapple notes, with subtle grassiness. Quite good for $13. 89-90 (1160 views)
Tasted by fingers on 9/2/2020: Consistent with prior reviews, though as it warmed it showed a bit too sweet with the pineapple and grapefruit. Keep a good chill on it (1647 views)
Tasted by Vinnut on 8/26/2020 & rated 89 points: Pale & light straw gold in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of citrus notes of white grapefruit, lemons/limes & some gooseberries with overtones of floral & mineral notes & a slight hint of grassiness in the background. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of citrus of lemons/limes & white grapefruit, lemons/limes & some peach notes with minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & may hold for another year. (1335 views)

2019 Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc

“The fruit was machine harvested (14th March – 4th April, 2019) in cool evening conditions, & pressed immediately with minimal skin contact. After settling, the clear juice was fermented at very low temps with selected yeast strains to preserve the inherent varietal flavours. The wine was fermented entirely in s/s. 13.0% ABV, 3.7 g/l R.S., 6.8 g/l T.A., & 3.14 pH;”
