Tasted by theRealPepe on 2/16/2024 & rated 91 points: This wine is a big bruiser in a 2019 vintage sort of way. There is electric acidity and it is spicy and herbal, with a light undertone of stone fruit like apricot and white fruit like pear. No real concept of how these will age further, but definitely enjoyable now. Excellent. (391 views)
Tasted by weinfreak1205 on 7/25/2022 & rated 91 points: Einer der besten Ortsweine, die ich von H.O. Spanier seit langem getrunken habe. Klasse! (871 views)
Tasted by James Kim on 8/29/2021 & rated 90 points: Decanted. Now 2.5h after decant. Aromas of mild petrol, tart apple's, lemon, herbs and plenty of minerals. Palate w granny Smith apples, lemon, lots of minerals, herbs, and some grapefruit pith bitterness. Medium body w fantastic acids. Nice lingering finish This is so young and coiled but with plenty of depth and potential. 90+ (1066 views)
Tasted by fournet on 7/10/2021 & rated 89 points: Off dry. Nice acidity. Good QPR. (939 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
