Did about an hour decant (973 views) | | | Tasted by boozebythecreek on 8/14/2021: Fruity nose, lots of red fruit on the palate with fantastic mouthfeel. Definitely modern Napa cab, but isn’t a complete fruit bomb. Good acidity and noticeable pleasant tannins. Double decanted for an hour and a half before dinner and I might give this a little more time if I could right now, but this isn’t a bottle you can drink now or in 10 years. Very impressed, especially for the vintage. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world.
