Medium intensity, Lime, underripe peach, honeysuckle not elderflower, green apple, wet rock . Simple.
Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium (-) body, medium intensity and finish
BLIC. - needs more fruit for that acid - it feels watery
Its a simple wine with little finish or intensity. The simplicity is part of its style. Its a good quality wine. Better examples would be more concentrated, longer and sometimes more complex.
Not suitable for ageing. Simple not going to improve sufficiently
Guesses:
Thought of Sauvignon Blanc. I think the florals, high acidi, green nature of the fruit and simplicity took me there.
Mistakes:
Totally missed the phenolic bitterness which would have narrowed me down to a few European grapes and SB would not have been on the list

More tart apples on tasting with medium alcohol, lively acidity and a grapefruit finish. Crisp and clean wine but not a lot of complexity.
Paired with tilapia fish tacos with mango Cole slaw. It went well but the lime of the tacos and the vinegar of the slaw muted some of the flavors. (1094 views) |
