Tasted by scyrene on 11/12/2022 & rated 87 points: Pale lemon colour. Full on varietal aroma, bright and clean with plentiful sweetness. Despite the name I was informed it's "off dry" but I'm not sure I'd go that far. Still, it has a lovely purity and juiciness. Not quite as good as better Kabinetts for me, but nice and tasty. Decidedly overpriced, however. [Screwcap; 12.5% abv; Woodwinters, £27]. (610 views)
Tasted by Butzemann on 8/13/2022 & rated 89 points: Pale yellow colour, smells of quince and gooseberry, medium body, has a little bit of residual sugar, so not completely dry, in the mouth quince and gooseberry, has a nice creaminess, second glass has a nice, medium acidity, in the aftertaste quince, gooseberry and acidity, good length (15 sec), good Riesling, but overpriced at 14 Euros.  Tasted by ManhattanBeach on 4/29/2022: A private lunch at Berry Bros. & Rudd (The Townhouse, No 3 Pickering Place): With cured seabass on blood orange escabeche with green olives. Very energetic dry Riesling, comfortable with the acidity of the blood orange. Really brought out the creaminess of the seabass - that was a great match (700 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)

Rheingau

VDP Rheingau (Official site) | The Rheingau (Wines of Germany) | Wikipedia about The Rheingau
On weinlagen.info

The small but fine wine-growing area Rheingau offers one for the culture of the vine ideal microclimate and best soil conditions. The Rhine runs uninterruptedly almost one thousand kilometres from Basel up to its muzzle into the North Sea, in a northerly direction. With a short exception - the Rheingau. The Rheingau mountains force the river to a change in direction here. The vineyards falling in this region to the south stretch really to the sun. The king of the white wines, the Riesling, finds ideal local conditions for the unfolding of his fine fruity and elegant type of vine character on the multilayered weathering grounds with loess, loam and sand additions.
