Tasted by EM_MB on 3/9/2024 & rated 90 points: Nice but relatively unremarkable (1545 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 2/28/2024: Antoine Jobard/Hudelot-Noëllat Dinner at La Paulée de Los Angeles (Kato, Los Angeles): Light weight, crisp, puckery citrus, and a strong ginger note. Only moderate intensity. (1828 views)
Tasted by KAT9 on 1/24/2024 & rated 94 points: Not sure what has changed since, but this bottle is quite good. The kind of balance and elegance that you find in top tier bottles can be found here. Acidity is super high, of course. (2083 views)
Tasted by La Cave d'Argent on 1/2/2024 & rated 94 points: Delamotte's 2014 Blanc de Blancs offers beautiful aromas and flavors of green apples, clementines, white peaches, raw almonds and bread dough. Light golden, medium-bodied and with a brisk small bead, it delivers its flavors with lively acids and a precise thread of minerality that is pervasive on the mid-palate and lengthy finish. Well-cellared bottles should provide pleasure for many years to come. Drink now-2040. (2180 views)
Tasted by chablis28 on 12/29/2023 & rated 93 points: My btl at our Old Guys Potluck Holiday Lunch at Lonny's. I'm still unclear how connected this label is to Salon but it's obviously all the better for it. This is far more accessible on release than Salon & still a decent value at the $80 I paid for it. Salon is way out of my reach now. Vibrant. classy & intense w/a sappy array of citrus & stone fruit, spice and beautiful minerality. One of my favs of today's lunch and one of my fav BdBs! 93+ I guess it's too much to hope this will won't break $100 soon! I bought the '08 on release for $60. (2071 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 12/29/2023 & rated 93 points: OG Lunch - Holiday Party (Lonny's Place, Mpls): Had this for a second time in a couple weeks. Very similar profile to that note, but it resonated more today. Love these, well made and a style I appreciate. (1719 views)
Tasted by decaturwinedude on 12/27/2023 & rated 92 points: Immediately appealing, yet still quite young. Vintage Delamotte is a winner in this price range. Good stuff. (1733 views)
Tasted by JCGuthrie on 12/18/2023 & rated 92 points: Hints of ginger on the nose, as well as lemon, white peach and lime pith. Zippy, lean and spicy on the palate. Really nice, glad to have more. (1491 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 12/18/2023 & rated 92 points: Champagne and Sushi (Masu, Mpls, MN): Pale gold color. Drank a glass over 40 minutes. An almost sweet essence to the pretty fruit, pear, floral, yeasty, some fine minerality. This is nice but still not quite fully there. Give this a couple years. (1413 views)
Tasted by Sean Tay on 11/18/2023 & rated 94 points: 5th time tasting with similar score. Medium nose intensity with notes of apple, pear, lemon, biscuit, toast. (1721 views)
Tasted by Sean Tay on 11/8/2023 & rated 94 points: Medium nose intensity with notes of apple, pear, lemon, biscuit, toast. Already started its drinking window. Drinking well now. (1424 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 10/28/2023 & rated 91 points: La Fête du Champagne Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Walkaround tasting with the producers. Charming already now with very good depth and balance. Sneaky good length. Very good value Champagne. (1395 views)
Tasted by Rywyine on 10/16/2023: Nice blanc de blanc. Agree it’s in the richer side but not excessive by any means. Great nose of lemon, hard candy. Real pleasent acidity. Lemon, citrus, a hint of curd with a nice mouthfeel. This goes down way too easy. (2069 views)
Tasted by Lord of the Bottles on 9/11/2023 & rated 90 points: Somewhat richer than the NV BdB but same sort of style. Pale lemon. Very crisp. As others have noted needs years 89-90/100 for now. (2561 views)

Tasted by mattyboy_ on 8/30/2023: Hold. High acid structure and power. Very lean and focused - all chalk, lemons/citrus/on day1. Much more enjoyable on day2 -acidity tones down, but it's still lemon with a touch of green apple. Lots of potential. (2382 views)
Tasted by enthusiastic_amateur on 8/20/2023 & rated 90 points: Racy and lean, great minerality and acid. This could age longer, perhaps another 7-10 years? (1978 views)
Tasted by aquacongas on 7/9/2023 & rated 91 points: not blind, at the winery
very fresh, citrus, few brioche notes, reductive style. 91 (2846 views)
Tasted by Bjweiss on 6/23/2023 & rated 92 points: Super fine bubbles. Tart, high acid fruit that makes this a must with food. Not a ton of autolytic notes, here, it feels light and lively on the palette. Great champagne that outperforms so many of the grand marques. (2230 views)
Tasted by Mag357 on 6/14/2023: Apples and lemony scents are followed by a rich mouthfeel, framed by fine bubbles ending in a persistent finish. Classic Delamotte. (2245 views)
Tasted by KAT9 on 5/6/2023 & rated 90 points: Very simple bdb. Not giving much, just some mild floral and minerality. On the palate, acidity is very high. Mouth puckering tartness. Meh. (2432 views)

Champagne

Le Champagne (Le comité interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne) | Grandes Marques & Maisons de Champagne (Union des Maisons de Champagne)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Click for a list of bestselling items from all of France.
Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
