 Tasted by Raizes on 11/26/2023 & rated 89 points: 柠檬、青苹果、汽油、辛香料、咸鲜矿物和一点蜂蜜。高酸结构和丝滑质感的良好结合,兼顾了芳香和优雅,富有深度和层次。 (632 views)
Tasted by Ward Huang on 7/18/2023 & rated 92 points: I think this is good. But compared with other Riesling GG, it is still inferior. (673 views)
Tasted by PLLU on 6/19/2023 & rated 94 points: Green apples, citrus and a hint of apricot and petroleum on the nose

Fennel, white pepper, some dry herbs together in a complex combination with apples, citrus and elegant tones. Many layers and very elegant. Love it. (742 views)
Tasted by Jshire on 6/4/2023 & rated 94 points: WONDERFUL! Clean, crisp with moderate acid and flint. apple, and white flowers. This what Riesling should be. (719 views)
Tasted by PLLU on 5/8/2023 & rated 95 points: Leitz is a magician in making available and yet very complex wines. Maybe it’s that the GGs in slightly less full of acidity when they are young? Anyway the wine balances citrus tones with slight petroleum tones in a complex way. In tge mid to end there is some herbal tones as well. Great wine (744 views)
Tasted by Mark1npt on 3/17/2023 & rated 89 points: Another of many whites opened by Ken for us tonight. The most complex/perplexing nose of all the whites. Honeysuckle with some banana on the nose, a hint of grapefruit on the palate. A late tartness to the fruit. I got some flat body to it, but others thought there was plenty of acidity. 12.5% alc may be the reason, as I'm just not used to wines with that profile. This one had a lot of intrigue for me, but I'm not sure I get the 95 pt scores...... (1637 views)
Tasted by Nilsson9208 on 2/6/2022 & rated 95 points: Together with a tartare of makerell with ginger, horseradish, lime and tomatowater. Great pairing. (1015 views)
Tasted by R J Lewis on 9/24/2021: A richer expression this year with deep yellow fruit, quince with the signature saline grip. Delicious and opens over time. (712 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)

Rheingau

VDP Rheingau (Official site) | The Rheingau (Wines of Germany) | Wikipedia about The Rheingau
On weinlagen.info

The small but fine wine-growing area Rheingau offers one for the culture of the vine ideal microclimate and best soil conditions. The Rhine runs uninterruptedly almost one thousand kilometres from Basel up to its muzzle into the North Sea, in a northerly direction. With a short exception - the Rheingau. The Rheingau mountains force the river to a change in direction here. The vineyards falling in this region to the south stretch really to the sun. The king of the white wines, the Riesling, finds ideal local conditions for the unfolding of his fine fruity and elegant type of vine character on the multilayered weathering grounds with loess, loam and sand additions.
