Tasted by jimkay21 on 1/3/2013 & rated 84 points: oxidized notes. (3364 views)
Tasted by Andrew H on 11/30/2012 & rated 85 points: Medium yellow with moderate bubbles. Green apple with a degree of overripe pear. Hints of lemon, with faded sweetness in finish. Should have drunk this NV sooner than 9 years. (3274 views)
Tasted by Andrew H on 11/22/2012 & rated 86 points: Pleasant golden color, with very fine bubbles, which are perhaps a little flat. Granny Smith (green apple) dominates, with touches of biscuit. (3289 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 6/5/2012: Medium color, moderate bubbles. Full, slightly toasty, moderate dosage, drier finish. Good but not particularly distinctive. (3956 views)
Tasted by aagrawal on 4/22/2012 & rated 90 points: WSET Intermediate Course (San Francisco): clear medium lemon; clean, medium intensity, yeast, bread, green apple, honey, cinnamon; fine delicate bubbles well integrated, dry, high acidity, medium body, yeasty, lees, tart green apple, citrus fruits, medium-long length; Very good, quite complex. (3108 views)
Tasted by ckinv368 on 12/17/2011 & rated 90 points: Notes of peach and other stone fruits, with significant yeast, some raspberry and with nice smooth acidity. A little too much yeasty / nuttiness for my taste, but overall a pleasant experience. (1570 views)
Tasted by Vino Me on 12/6/2011 & rated 91 points: 2011 Sal's Beverage World Champagne Tasting (Elmhurst, Illinois): Retailer tasting. This showed more character than the other wines from this producer. Almond notes with a solid bead. Tart citrus on the finish. 90-91 points. (2355 views)
Tasted by mdobro on 1/20/2011 & rated 89 points: very delicate, medium long (1785 views)
Tasted by lewrose@gmail.com on 1/24/2009: Nice bottle to drink while soaking in a hot tub. (1843 views)
Tasted by timewithwine on 12/26/2007: [completely unchanged from the last time tasted. Hence, the copying of the prior notes.] An erratic stream of unfocused bubbles seemed to come from no where and everywhere in the glass at the same time. (As the glasses had just been washed, I discount much chance of dust or soap residue.) A somewhat coarse, weak mousse that went no where in the mouth. Be all that as it may, the pale gold color suggested something might be in the glass after all. Apple and biscuit on the nose with a bit of citrus poking through. Golden Delicious apple, lemon, biscuit followed by nutmeg with some nuttiness and toast on the finish. Tart - that was precisely how to describe this wine’s acidity. Tasted with the Dortons. Recommended with reservations. (355 views)
Tasted by Li6 on 12/7/2007 & rated 93 points: Beautiful, creamy texture -- full-bodied but lithe. Ginger and warms spices, citrus, and red fruits. Finish goes on and on. (2072 views)
Tasted by paulyp on 12/28/2006 & rated 84 points: This was good not great. Had it before and had REALLY liked it. This bottle had an off finish, slightly bitter. Hopefully it was a bottle issue because I have two more of these. (2301 views)
Tasted by jmull on 12/16/2006 & rated 90 points: Some really nice herbal notes I've not detected in Champagne before, accompanied by some yeast and peach characteristics. Would definitely repurchase as long as the price remains in the $25 to $30 range. (2141 views)
Tasted by timewithwine on 2/14/2006: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 An erratic stream of unfocused bubbles seemed to come from no where and everywhere in the glass at the same time. With shrimp and scallops in a carbonara sauce with a hint of cinnamon. The wine was an excellent foil to the creaminess of the sauce. Fried chocolate ravioli for dessert. (352 views)
Tasted by Vino Me on 11/18/2004 & rated 88 points: A fuller nose than the previous 2 wines. Nutty flavors with peach notes. Medium body. 88 points. (2133 views)
Tasted by R2-D2 on 12/6/2002 & rated 87 points: Hints of oasty oak, creamy vanilla, and lemon being dominated by peanut butter? (462 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
