Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 4/20/2023: 35% new french, and richer style, and more full bore, and not really all that better fore it. (527 views)
Tasted by Nfmds on 1/4/2023 & rated 89 points: Deep ruby color
Bright fruits in nose: raspberry, fig
Bright on the palate, leading to tight tannins. Needs time (332 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 4/23/2022 & rated 90 points: Deep purple color. The nose is full of fig paste, rich and saucy blueberries, smoky, beefy tones, with cocoa, cedar, graphite and anise – a lot to unpack. Jammy and plush on the palate, chewy tannins, smooth acidity. Plums and blackberry jam mixes with notes of cocoa, toffee, anise and cocoa. A deep, but inviting wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Malbec. (665 views)
Tasted by O’Duinn on 4/22/2022 & rated 87 points: Decanted, no sediment, dark purple color, red berry/blackberry in nose, some tannin and powerful in the mouth, but little tight so no lingering finish (went well with mushroom/truffle oil/ white cheese pizza. Opened some and came out of the bottle nicely with decanting. Evacuated before fully breathed. Reopened next evening. Still has some modest tannin and flavor still large. A little harsh but mostly still there. Had it with bison burgers, and matched quite well. (510 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
