Tasted by aquacongas on 5/3/2024 & rated 98 points: not blind, disg. 18, at the winery
I go in the most cases with Les Roises instead of Les Enfers. this time it was even par, maybe because the latter one was 12 more month on the lees. It reminds me because of the honey note to a baby Clos du Mesnil. The precision and concentration is distinctive. 98 (290 views)
Tasted by Orange Tsian on 2/27/2024 & rated 95 points: 95/100 (680 views)
Tasted by LWI on 10/8/2023 & rated 90 points: Vinøs hyttetur 2023: Blind. Mye mousse. Sukat, grønnsak, champingon, stor frukt. Strukturelt er dette flott, men aromatisk er det off. Absolulutt drikkbart, men dette skulle ha vært bedre. Odd flaske? (887 views)
Tasted by Vas19 on 2/20/2023 & rated 94 points: More open at this point than the corresponding Enfers. Great intensity and complexity. (1308 views)
Tasted by LWI on 1/18/2023 & rated 95 points: Blind. Fresh and citrussy with a clear mineral streak. High acidity, enormous concentration, energy and duration. Already complex and intriguing finish. Youthful, more so than the 2013 base. (1190 views)
Tasted by aquacongas on 4/24/2022 & rated 97 points: not blind
48 month aging
This is a baby clos du mesnil. Honey, nuts, precison and never ending finish. 97-98 (1950 views)
Tasted by aquacongas on 2/15/2022 & rated 96 points: Not blind
Phantastic BdB, reminds me to a Baby Clos du Mesnil. Precise, some tropical fruits, but more yuzu and discreet honey notes. Well balanced and powerful. Not reached his peak. 96 (1803 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 2/14/2022 & rated 93 points: Ulysse Collin Les Roises 2014 base.
Sitter lenge.
Meget bra flaske 93p+ (1433 views)
Tasted by Russell Faulkner on 12/31/2021: Disgorged 03/19. Deep peach and apricot, just off ripe. Full and complex with light spices. Excellent (1087 views)
Tasted by Benoit Hardy on 3/26/2021 & rated 93 points: 30 minutes of aeration were beneficial to the wine.

The first nose is on yeast. Then, the nose will be largely winey then came the dried fruits.

Warming in the glass will set in floral aromas and puffed rice. Quite a program and it is already highly complex. The palate immediately affirms its wineiness. How confusing! Blindly, I would never have said chardonnay. The bubble is already fine and the balance excellent, the acidity is already perfectly integrated into the whole. Plum and black fruits dominate with a very fine toasted touch. The wine is very structured but I did not detect the oxidative profile that many saw in it. The finish is very chalky with a salty length.

Very beautiful wine, well executed and surprising for a young blanc de blancs with its suppleness and complexity. (1875 views)
Tasted by mjdixon on 3/20/2021 & rated 93 points: Golden colour with Honeyed notes
Seemed young but had an elegant deep flavour thst made drinking quickly impossible
Nice to try but won’t be buying more at this pricr... (944 views)
Tasted by bill00 on 3/6/2021 & rated 93 points: Lean, mineral driven aromatics with a subtle hint of green (in a good way). Stony and serious. Disgorged 3/20. (1315 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 12/4/2019 & rated 92 points: Bra, men fremstår mer lukket enn forrige flaske. (1741 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 7/13/2019 & rated 94 points: Ulysse Collin Les Roises.
Gogget mars 2019 - 2014 base.
Litt forsiktig på duft, og tydelig ung.
Intensiteten øker med luft.
Subtile elegante toner av kritt/kalk, sitrus i retning grapefrukt og noen lekre florale elementer.
Flott å sniffe på.
Fantastisk mousse av mikroskopiske bobler.
Sylskarp frukt og en ypperlig nerve her.
Vibrerende.
94p (1409 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
