Community Tasting History

Tasted by Andr5858 on 11/4/2020 & rated 96 points: Tasted blind. Outrageous acidity. This wine would have been pale lemon in colour at some time. Now light copper. Lively, unctuous but kept firmly in check by its acidity. Complex and with a longish finish. Like licking stainless steel covered in lemon juice. So memorable. (807 views)
Tasted by Collector1855 on 8/21/2020 & rated 93 points: This was quite popular at the table. Aged aromas but without oxidation. Bee wax, some nuts, petrol, ginger. Unctuous, very different than a German GG but lovely pairing with the clams. (1726 views)
Tasted by Leto South on 7/13/2014 flawed bottle: Way past drinking window. Deep amber. Fruit still there (honey, whiff of botrytis). Acidity falling off. Hard to distinguish as a Riesling. (2297 views)
Tasted by Will on 6/5/2005: A selection of Weinbach wines with Laurence Faller (Strasbourg, France): Quinces on the nose with hints of petrol, off-dry for me with good underlying acidity. (5748 views)
Tasted by claudio_bxl on 6/5/2005: OL At panos and Edith (Strasbourg): Good viscosity and a great palette of aromas from a very expressive nose. Honey, cinnamon, pain d'epices, minerality and petrol. In the mouth it is very well balanced with a good level of acidity and a long finish in which I found a hint of bitterness. (4836 views)
