Tasted by Pimenta on 5/2/2012 & rated 88 points: Vinho muito interessante, equilibrado e com bom final. (1401 views)
Tasted by Arch57 on 7/10/2010 & rated 79 points: This wine had almost nothing on the nose, even after being opened 1 hour a vigorous swirl in the glass was not producing much. On the palate the tannins were very harsh and drying, masking any fruit that might have been lurking there. Disappointing and will avoid. (1641 views)
Tasted by rikipedia on 5/7/2010 & rated 89 points: (Tasted Blind): Intense fruit notes burst forth on this full-bodied, powerful wine. Plenty of sour cherry, creme fraiche and earthy notes complexed with some undergrowth and button mushrooms. Fairly massive wine, a tangy acidity still keeps it going. Moderately rich, this is a pretty good, if hefty, example. Blend of Sangiovese, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, (65 views)
Tasted by t_moderne on 4/25/2010 & rated 89 points: Opened and decanted and let rest for about 1 hour. This seems somewhat closed; it has a nice mushroom, earthy sangiovese component and good structure but the fruit is a bit muted. (1641 views)

Sangiovese Blend

Sangiovese blend is used in CellarTracker for Italian wines to represent wines predominantly made of Sangiovese and blended with traditional Italian grapes. It is different than SuperTuscan which is a blend of Sangiovese with non-traditional (eg Bordeaux) varieties, often in closer to equal portions. For example, Chianti is at least 80% Sangiovese and will always be listed Sangiovese blend.
