Tasted by Wicked Panda on 4/9/2014: Past it's time. Forgot about it. Should have drank years ago (1079 views)
Tasted by ebert on 3/2/2014 & rated 91 points: very good with good minerality, good balance and a clean finish. (1094 views)
Tasted by BlackIce on 6/22/2012 & rated 90 points: Didn't wait long... This is fantastic... See prior note... (1763 views)
Tasted by Wicked Panda on 6/22/2012 & rated 88 points: After a bit of time open, the flavors mellowed. Tannins were light, but the initial taste was bland. Once the air got to it, the wine developed and quickly disappeared (1750 views)
Tasted by BlackIce on 6/13/2012 & rated 88 points: Love this unusual Zenaida blend of Cab, Syrah and Zin. I think I liked the 2006 a bit better. On opening, a bit hot with 15.5% alcohol. But same great fruit balanced well with the tannins. Alcohol tends to blow off quickly. I will wait to open my last bottle. (1777 views)
Tasted by mmccull on 3/9/2012 & rated 92 points: Very smooth, velvety. Complex. Dark in color with red maroonish edges. The flavor changes three or four times in the mouth starting with silky tannins and ending with an apricot. Slightly dry feeling left in the mouth from the oak but just enough to let you know it's there. (1050 views)
Tasted by Scott McJ on 3/3/2012 & rated 90 points: Very much enjoyed; smokey chocolate with a full fruit and pleasant smooth finish. (1103 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
