Pale/medium straw. Sesame seed, citrus and apple on the nose. Palate is reasonably generous/broad, with slightly creamy apple fruit, a touch of sesame seed and vanilla Nd then a goodish length finish with a note of tropical fruit. Very good. 86-88.
Pale straw. Slightly reticent on the nose. Medium bodied on the palate, more discreet than the Jobard, lemony, apple, just a touch of sesame, lean and racy with fresh acidity on the good length finish. Classy. 88-90.
Pale garnet. Fresh, pure red fruited nose, if a touch simple. Light/medium bodied, youthful, fresh strawberry fruit, touch of game, slight herbal edge. Moderately deep on the mid-palate, and falls away a touch on the short-medium length finish. Pretty, but insubstantial. 82-84.
Pale garnet. Nose is quite closed, with an odd metallic edge that does dissipate slightly with time in glass. The palate is giving up more however, with black cherry fruit, quite serious depth, plenty of firm tannic backbone, a good length if slightly tight finish. In need of more time, but potentially very good 85-88.
Medium/deep ruby. Very youthful, red cherry, bilberry. Medium bodied on the palate, dark fruited with a slight gamey edge, refined tannins, touch of herb on the medium/good length finish. Very good. 85-87.
Medium ruby. Nose is slightly closed, showing dried red fruit and some notes of soil. Medium bodied on the palate, quite traditional Bourgogne leanish with slightly firm tannin, but not unattractive for it. 84-86.
Youthful, rich, ripe red and blueberry fruit, vanilla. Medium/full bodied, generous, rich, almost layered fruit, bilberry, plum, vanilla, lovely mouth-watering, contrasting acidity, polished with soft tannins, and finishes with good length. Modern, fun and you can't help but like it.
Notes fading by this stage but this was ver enjoyable. It had a mature, deep amber hue, and provided a nice contrast of rich, barley-sugar and stone fruit and attractive crisp acidity, topped off by a memorably long, orangey finish. Very good indeed.
