Relatively expressive nose for a Godello, oyster shell, citrus and white flowers, lightly oaky; delicious ripe lemon and stone fruit (white peach) on the palate, juicy and come-hither owing to some apparent bâtonnage, just about balanced by ripe acidity and mineral freshness, resulting in an attractive tension; good to very good length.
A blend of 40% Carignan, 30% Pais, 20% Cinsault and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Carbonic maceration is applied to the first two, while the last two are destemmed and undergo classic vinification. Aged for eight months in seasoned oak. Initially very dirty on the nose but this subdides quickly to an attractive level of earth and dung, sweet red and black fruit and spice, slightly estery, nice freshness, floral lift; the palate is juicy, ripe but fresh, calm and supple, silky, very "au naturel" but stylish, white peach and green apple, attractive subtle bitters from the skins, clean and precise flavours; creamy finish, flowers and cherries, very good length.
A red ale from Cartmel's local craft brewery. Orange amber colour; deep and malty aromas, notes of torrefaction, hint of banana, soft and rich, good intensity for its mere 4.5% ABV, plums and pain d'épices, gentle bitters, good length.

Light colour after an incredible 47 years on oak; the nose is intense but fresh and fragrant, with neutral wood, subtle notes of orange and hay, like an old Delamain; wonderfully gentle yet intense palate, a silky study in elegance and harmony; long and refined finish, wonderful notes of citrus and vanilla. So incredibly youthful!
