Better integrated than the last bottle I had, with impressive density and racy acidity. Juicy dark berries, smoked meat and just a touch of well integrated oak.
Stunningly good even on a pop 'n pour, and with loads of reason to expect continued improvement with bottle age. A complex, penetrating nose of black cherries, truffle, mocha and spice. Fresh, sweet black fruit and minerals on the palate, well balanced by impressive acidity -- very harmonious and refined. A touch of balsamic on the lush finish. Sweet tannins, but not too prominent. No noticeable oak. A precise wine from beginning to end.
Generally consistent with a bottle I enjoyed a few weeks back, but with even greater freshness and intensity. No decant (none required). Sweet black currants, some cherry, green and white pepper and earthy notes, all balanced by the acidity. Ripe, fine-grained tannins. Such a treasure.

A stunningly intense and ripe Shiraz, with a profound bouquet of lavender, baking spice, dark fruit, licorice and mocha. A velvety, glycerined texture. Full bodied, with a lush mouthfeel. Notes of blackberry, lavender, pepper and smoked meats. Reminded me of a Clos des Truffiers in some respects, yet was singular and distinguished more than anything else. Looking forward to the rest of my 6 bottles.
