All wines were tasted not blind.
Very grapy bouquet with flowers, blossom and honey. On the palate also grapy with also litchi, concentrated yellow fruits like pineapple, grapefruit and almond bitterness. A wine with a good concentration and also elegance.

Bouquet with minerals, cherries, herbs and spices and some bell peppers. On the palate still very reticent, but there are cherries, firm acidity and sticky tannin. Difficult to score this wine. 86 - 88, so for today I score it 87. Give the wine cellaring until 2014 to see what happens.

In the bouquet strawberries and stinky; human barnyard….;-). On the palate juicy cherries, minerals and an overload of acidity. I just hope this is a faulty bottle. No score.

Bouquet with firm cherries, herbs and spices and also minerality. On the palate cherries, plums, minerals, some smoke, firm acidity and sticky tannin. Also some oak. A concentrated, a bit green and edgy wine. Give the wine some cellaring until 2016 to see if it all softens a bit. Will never be great though.

High acidity in the bouquet. Red currants, tart cherries and sauerkraut. On the palate the same unpleasant acidity. Medicine. This must be a faulty bottle, so no score.

The bouquet is a bit reticent but it has some cherries, herbs and spiciness. On the palate the same impressions. Some laurel as well. High acidity. Not as bad as my first bottle in 2012, but still quite a disappointing Cote Roti.

Beautiful and complex bouquet with dark and red fruits, toasted oak, smoke and minerals. Same impressions on the palate. Also leather, animals, vanilla and soft tannin. Beautiful balance between sweetness and acidity. Early maturity now and it can last at least 3+ years. 91-92

Beautiful and concentrated bouquet with dark fruits and salty licorice. On the palate a mineral start, followed by mainly dark, but also some red forest fruits, smoke, pepper and mint. Good balance between sweetness and acidity. Soft tannin which is a bit drying in the finish. Beautiful, harmonious and complex wine. Early maturity now and will last at least until 2020. 92-93

Beautiful and concentrated bouquet with dark fruits and some smoke. On the palate dark fruits as well, a good balance between sweetness and acidity and soft tannin. Good complexity. Good qpr! Early maturity now and it will still drink nicely around 2016 and a few years after that.

2010 Domaine du Colombier Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Cuvée Gaby 88 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Crozes-Hermitage
I was told this is a 100% Marsanne. Overall the wine is quite reticent. In the bouquet soft yellow fruits e.g. apricots. On the palate white peach, soft citrus and some minerals. The oak leaves a little pleasant bitterness in the finish. Really nice wine.
