Introduction

Mancini owns maybe the most pictoresque and panoramic vineyard in Italy.
Apart from this, his limited production (12 ha in total) is based on Pinot noir, introduced in this area by the napoleonic army.
New vines are now 12 - 15 YO

    Italy, Marche, Colli Pesaresi

    Light, brilliant golden yellow.
    Intense, complex and fine at nose: ANISE and almonds, together with a sweet, honeyed, chamomile note. Salty hints.
    Dry, alcoholic. Good acidity and a evident minerality, leading to the finish.
    Harsh side sufficiently balanced by the alcohol level.
    Steel only. 5 - 20% Pinot noir.

  • 2015 Fattoria Mancini Colli Pesaresi Impero 85 Points

    Italy, Marche, Colli Pesaresi

    Light golden yellow, with a good consistence.
    Intense, complex and fine at nose. Wood notes at the beginning: Vanilla, wet wood and fumè clues; then sweet notes: sunflower's honey, acacia flowers. Alcohol and mineral hints.
    Dry, alcoholic (13,5%), rounded. Intense and persistent. good body. Nice acidity and minerality, well balanced by alcohol and structure.

    Ruby red, with violet rim. Consistent.
    Intense, complex and very fine at nose: A roses' bouquet, with a basket of chewy red fruits: cherries and plum. A clue of tobacco.
    Dry and rounded. Good acidity and minerality, with tannins still a bit dusty for youngness, but showing a full taste of fruit and flowers. Good body. 13%

    Ruby red, with pinkysh rim. Medium consistent.
    Intense, complex and fine at nose: red fruits and flowers.
    Dry, good acidity. Smooth tannins, but alive.
    Intense, persistent and fine. Young.

  • 2015 Fattoria Mancini Sangiovese Rive 86 Points

    Italy, Marche, Colli Pesaresi

    Bright ruby red.
    Fine and complex nose: red fruits (plum) and mild spices (vanilla).
    Dry, alcoholic (14,5%), rounded. Good acidity and young barrel's tannins still to evolve.
    Intense, persistent and fine. Coffee and tamarind hints.
    Well balanced, also if too young. Will get better.
