Introduction
This was the monthly tasting group event. Theme was Riesling from anywhere. We had a group of around 18, and we visited Ngon Bistro - a French - Vietnamese Restaurant for the first time with the group. We had a veery good time. Food and service were well done.
2008 Nikolaihof Riesling Federspiel Vom Stein 90 Points
Austria, Niederösterreich, Wachau
Light straw color. Drank a glass over 40 minutes. This was pretty lean overall, not a lot of fruit showing. Fusil, slate, light apple on the nose. The palate is lean, minerally, slate, tart apple and bit of peach fuzz, pretty dry. I like it; it wasn't flashy, more subtle 89 to 90pts.

2014 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese 92 Points

Light gold color. Drank a glass over 40 minutes. This has got good body, medium plus, fresh red apple, white peach fruits, good freshness and good stony minerality.

2015 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #10 93 Points

Very pale gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes plus. Ok, I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for this flashy young Rieslings. So sue me. Geez, thiss is so bright and energetic, great zippy acids and bright tropical fruits, good balance, loads of tangerine and citrus zest on both the nose and palate along with pineapple, and a nice dose of tropical fruit too; light fusil, and a touch of tart apple. This starts out feeling light medium body but takes on some weight in glass. Loved it. 92+ to 93pts.

Light gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Same bottle as JCGuthrie. Kind of a creamy panna cotta texture, citrus, apple. Nice.

Ultra pale color, almost clear. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Apple, pineapple, peach, citrus, with lime blossoms on a really well balanced frame of acid, stone and tart fruits. The fusil is fading and this is really working. 92+ to 93pts.

Light gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Light gold color. This was really silky, just great body and mouth feel, citrus, mango, balanced with a sweeter profile.

Ultra pale near clear color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes plus. Not surprisingly this is crazy primary and filled with explosive fruit. I love the tropical nose of passion fruit, guava, and mango. Smells and tastes like a big glass of minerally POG juice, and I mean that in the best possible way. Great acid and balance. Quite amazing and has a great future. 94(+)pts.

Light gold color. Drank a glass over 30 plus minutes. Good at the start but really takes off over the first 20 minutes. Still has that great fruit, a bit less on the nose, though it builds, fusil, mineral, peach, candied apricot, orange, slate, perfect balance. Loved it.

Small glass. Jet fuel nose. Palate is nice, black fruits, raisin and fig, black cherry liqueur.
