Introduction
Wonderful wine dinner prepared by Ray & Teresa at their home. Mussels, scallops, leak soup, Beef Wellington plus dessert paired perfectly with the wines.
2007 Mumm Napa Grande Année 92 Points

My first tasting of this wine and it was drinking well. Citrus, sour apple, candied fruits, spice and floral notes. Very clean and medium plus finish. Good acidity. Drink now to 2024.

This was alright but nothing amazing. Dough, lemon, spice, floral and chalk. A bit abrasive and I would much take a Vilmart to this wine. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed and it and it was better than the 2007 Mumm but also cost a lot more.

2013 Bergström Chardonnay Sigrid 94 Points

One of the best wines at the tasting. Very rich and opulent. Good use of oak along with spice, pear, vanilla and minerals. Medium to long finish. I could see this wine drinking well until 2028. One of the better Oregon Chards I have tasted to date.

Very light style wine with floral, mild spices, rose petals and earth. Short to medium finish and good acidity. A polar opposite to the Adelsheim that came next. Liked both styles. Very good food wine.

2012 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Vintage 35 92 Points

Decanted several hours. Fragrant wine! Red berries, spice, earth, perfume and cherry. A bit hot in the glass but settled into form 20 minutes later. This wine has a long life ahead and I could see this improving a lot. Young. 92 to 96 points.

I find the wine tired and old but others liked it more than me. It was interesting to try it and it featured sour cherry, saddle leather, tobacco, dust and cedar. Short to medium finish. I just don't enjoyed older wines that lost the fruit. I think this would have been a rock star in 2010.

Spice, red currants, blueberries and liqueur. A bit too much and over the top. Not a lot of balance and lacks acidity. Would go with a nice juicy steak.

Can we say high octane!!! Certainly not something I would pay $200 plus for but I really enjoyed the wine. Cherry, ripe plums, spice, coffee beans, oak and vanilla beans. Long finish but not over the top. This is young and should drink well through 2035.

Enjoyed this. Heavy on the fruits featuring blueberries, raspberries, Bing Cherries, coffee beans and spices. Not a big wine but complexity is there. Second favorite wine of the night.

Color looked a bit advanced but Sauternes was excellent. Ripe peaches, tangerines, minerals, spice and floral notes. Medium and concentrated. In a good place right now. Drink now to 2027.
