Le Bernardin Prive
Tasted Thursday, March 5, 2020 - Friday, March 6, 2020 by hprphf with 359 views
Bonneau steals the show.
Theme is lots of Leroy and Rousseau... among other extraordinary wines.
(3/5/2020)
Somewhat thin as vintage, acid pronounced and not the weightiest BM. Still excellent. 95+

Different style, but nice old school balance. Prefer this slightly to the 1999. 94

1681/4080. Somehow quite acidic but not oxidized. Maybe just too young? Underlying wine is good depth. Hard to rate.

So rich, with finesse from ageing. Peppermint, ripe white fruit, not at all overripe/tropical common to white wines of this vintage, great balance. Tremendous energy, long finish with beautiful acidity. Profound and complex, intricate layers. Bullied the 1989 Ruchottes on its side with youth. 95
