Lovely delicate nose, but sort of middling on the palate. Not enough acid, decent fruit, but tame and quiet and sort of boring.

Verrrrry similar to the La Joie du Palais, I honestly couldn't tell them apart.

Ok yeah I still don’t love this. Muddy bloody, gritty tannin, no depth or complexity, just bleh. We did not finish this bottle.

I tried one bottle of this in 2021 and wrote that it was still tight. Revisiting it and....it's still pretty tight! Better than 2021, the nose is more giving and the fruit is more open, but it's still super grippy. Not sure it'll ever fully open up, and I'm out of bottles so I'll never find out.

This remains my favorite Lafarge and I'm happy I've got a couple more bottles. The nose is delicate and beguiling, really lovely lighter body, great complexity of fruit and perfectly balanced acidity, just a lithe little number.

Easily my favorite bottle of Dutraive to date. No funk, just a solid core of bright fruit and lovely acidity and minerality to balance

Super concentrated. This is _serious_ Fleurie, I definitely would not guess this blind. It has the red fruit but it's just turned up to 11 instead of being light and delicate. Tons of complexity, great acidity (surprising for a 2015!) and a lovely balanced finish. I preferred the 2014 but this is also great.

Stunning, wotn for me. All of the concentration and complexity of the 2015 Sacré Graal but with more delicacy and elegance. Beautiful fruit on the nose, perfect acidity. Just an absolutely bonkers good bottle.

Shockingly alive for a 50yo bottle of negociant Fleurie. Fell over in 5ish minutes and went cardboardy, but still pretty incredible. Still some bright red fruit but lots of earth and mushroom and vegetal stuff going on too.

2019 Jean Foillard Fleurie
France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie
Violets and cherries on the nose, no funk, maybe a little reduction? This is great. High acid but not volatile, delicate frame but tons of fruit and red flowers, nice mineral savory finish. Got even better after an hour of being open, aromatics really singing.

2021 Jane Eyre Fleurie Vendanges Entières

Reduction. Super graphite on the palate, decent cherry raspberry fruit, little rasp finish. Probably should’ve waited but the Screwtop threw me off. We did not finish this bottle.

2019 Anne Sophie Dubois Fleurie Les Labourons
France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie
No brett in this bottle. A little medicinal on the nose, cherry. Super light body, very savory, like cherry thyme juice. Ethereal, really nice light bitterness on the finish. Just excellent.

2018 Karim Vionnet Fleurie

Same medicinal note as ASD. Darker fruit and lower acid, leaning black cherry, thankfully has some gravel on the finish to help balance. Not bad at all, but not great either.

2020 Yann Bertrand Fleurie Chaos Suprême
France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie
Super cherry nose, incredible concentration. Just lovely, med+ acid and lots of fruit. A tinty tinge of yeasty/bacterial on the finish but not bad.
Edit: a little bit survived the tasting. The funk was way worse on day 2. Either drink fast or hold and hope it resolves?

2020 Yann Bertrand Fleurie Vieilles Vignes

Cherry floral intensity. Same Med+ acid and fruit as the chaos but with more grip and minerality in the finish. I’d give it another year or two if I had more, but it's already fantastic.
