Pale silvery green. Nicely scented and the aroma grows, a bit like gewurztraminer and grapey like muscat. Fruity, refreshing, well balanced, tropical fruit, possibly best drunk on its own, medium length.
Light greenish gold. Not much on the nose at first, eventually the fruit comes through, subtle apricot. Fruity but subtle, a little disppointing, difficult to match, medium length.
Opaque, with a little age. Lovely nose, a little development, a bit meaty. Very ripe fruit, still very tannic, very hot, peppery, somehow tastes too French, quite long.
Very youthful, opaque. A black fruit nose, blackberries and blackcurrants with mint, delicious. Fruity attack, very soft tannins, attractive, a lovely food accompaniment, very long.
Opaque with a hint of age. A restrained nose showing some development, smoky, meaty, complex. Fruity with blackberries, spicy, soft tannins, quite long.
Youthful ribena colour. Eventually the nose gets intense fruit, loads of complexity. Very fruity, tannins, quite soft, velvety, smooth, full, great length.
A hint of age at the edge of deep blackcurrant colour. Rich blackcurrant on the nose, but a bit one dimensional. Fruity blackcurrant, sweeter than medium with a sweet finish, length.
