Angie made the arrangements for the group, we have the undivided attention and enthusiasm of Jessica for the featured tasting. Some of us had some cob-webs from the night before, but we rallied; once more into the breach!

2007 Robert Mondavi Winery Unoaked Chardonnay

Chablis style, no OAK!! crisp and clean, minerality in the mid palate but fresh fruit up front, hint of citrus

2006 Robert Mondavi Winery Fumé Blanc To-Kalon I Block 92 Points

Lovely Fume Blanc, definitely in the Loire style...crisp, elegant, citrus undertones. Block I from the To Kalon vinelard; 62 years old vines, top growth, no trellis.

2006 Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 92 Points

JL loved this wine, huge score. 2006 was left hanging longer than usual, so the final blend is a bit softer and rounder than usual Cab Reserves. Not convinced this will last as long at the 2005 that we tasted along side, even though its upfront score from WS was impressive.

2005 Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 92 Points

Big beefy wine, mostly cabernet sauvignon, with deep color and complex fruit mix. Full mouth of tannins, this is built for the long haul. It will be great fun to compare the 2005 Reserve to the 1995 Reserve in 10 years!

rated 94 points: Elegant wine, well integrated with round mouthfeel and long finish. Deep color, black currents, hint of chocolate (2 views). This is at a lovely plateau but suspect it will last another 10 years

75% Sauvignon Blanc 25% Semillon ...Sauternes come to Napa. this was a terrific tasting experience, unctuous, apricots and peach, just simply luscious
