Introduction

One of the top offlines I have attended. All wines previewed to make sure they show their best. The St. Innocent lineup rocked tonight and a huge thanks to Gary A. for bringing a starter and Morey Saint Denis to finish thsi rock star lineup!

  • 2002 Marc Colin et Fils Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Blanc 92 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru

    Medium gold. On the nose shells, lemon and chalk. The palate shows candied fruit, shells, chalk and orange peel. Medium finish and great acidity.

  • 2003 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Anden 93 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley

    Medium purple. No decant but previewed. Billiant nose with strawberry, perfume, forest floor and rapsberry. On the palate forest floor, chalk, raspberry, cherry and stawberry. Medium finish and medium tannins. Still a lot of life in this bottle of wine.

  • 2003 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard 94 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton

    Dark purple. Nose of perfume, violets, charcoal, and spice. On the palate this wine amazes with spice, blackberries, cranberries, mineral, and cedar. Medium finish and concentrated wine. Still some life left and should age 5 plus years.

  • 2006 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard 93 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton

    Color medium purple. Nose of raspberry, cherry, smoke and coffee. The palate shows dark fruits, cherry, oak, vanilla spice and earth. Medium finish and concentrated wine. Should show well for 5 plus years.

  • 2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard 95 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley

    Medium purple. Nose of funk, floral, cranberry, and clay. On the palate this rocks with spice, cherry, white pepper, and roses. Good acidity and concentrated wine. Really balanced and for an 07 maybe the wine of the Vintage for Willamette.

  • 2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Villages Cuvée 92 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley

    Medium purple. Nose of raspberry, floral, cherry and spices. Light concentration on the palate but nice with spice, floral, cherry and forest floor. Medium finish and a bit of oak and vanilla emerge. Solid overall and it might improve a few points.

  • 2002 Henri Jouan Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé 93 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru

    Nose of cranberry, strawberry and raspberry. Beautiful on the palate with spices, raspberries, minerals and funk. Medium finish and just showing really well. Drink now or hold for 5 years.

Closing

The 07 White Rose is a rocking wine and I can't imagine not buying a case immediately on Monday. Mark V. is one of the top winemarkers in America! I was amazed at the low scores from Cellar Tracker on these wines from other members. You really need to study these wines throughout the night.
