I thought this wine was excellent. I love the heavy to grenache 2007's that see almost no wood at all. This was large and expressive fresh dark red fruits, natural sweetness, and a fine white stone mineral envelope. There was also some nice slight earthiness, and hints of aromatic plants. I was also pleasantly surprised by the structure... this baby will develop for years and has a terrific future. Had with Scott and Harry who shared a Favier and Charvin... both worthy opponents.

Whoa! This is the real deal. I drank this next to a Charvin and a Prefert Favier, and I for my taste, this was the best. The Ferrand had a soaring red fruit profile and was loaded with Southern Rhone markers like sage, aromatic dry bushes, Mediterranean spices, and lavender petals. It was wrapped in a wonderful and firm earth elemental mineral blanket. This is awesome and will get better.

This is the most backward of the 2007's I have tasted yet. Very young and structured at first, but after an hour in bottle and glass, the wine awakens into an airy red fruited, spice infused, mineral driven beauty. It is certainly tannic and dusty dry, but the sweet red fruit, minerals, aromatic plants and flower petals, win the day. Glad I have six more of these. I am in love with the 2007 mostly grenache wines that see almost no wood, and this is another shining example. Recommend.

This is the most backward of the 2007's I have tasted yet.
