Introduction

Our good friends David and Beth found this restaurant thru a friend. The chef is another ex Trotter chef and puts out a set 6 course dinner each week of the month. Very small inside (seating for 27). Service was outstanding and the best treat...BYOW.

Flight 1 (1 Note)

Poke Ahi Tuna, Spring Herb Salad, Lotus Root, Ume Boshi Vinaigrette; Parmesan & Roasted Garlic Soup, Candied Japanese Eggplant, Caramelized Sweet Onions, Truffled Breadstick

Flight 2 (1 Note)

Premium Wagyu Beef Basted with Fat of Foie Gras served with
Shin's Special Sauce; Grilled Lamb Chop from Mint Creek Farms, Spring Peas, Morels,
Sparkling Tomato

  • 1982 Château La Mission Haut-Brion 97 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan

Decanted for an hour and it was incredible. The start was light and not dense, then over the course of the two meat courses, the wine opened up and was delicious. Great nose, great color and great flavor. Lasted on the palate for a very long time.

Flight 3 (1 Note)

Rhubarb Sorbet, Burton's Farm Maple, Artichoke Bacon Crisp; Matcha Rice Pudding, Kinako Strawberries, Apricot Fritter

  • 1990 Château d'Yquem 92 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes

Bought at auction. Good color and viscosity. Nice smell but a little burnt as if storage was a problem. I have had other bottles and they seem fine.

Closing

I can see trying this place on a monthly basis just to see what they come up with next as each week of the month has the same menu. Looking forward to the warmer weather as they have outside seating.
