  Well, it does have melon fruit with some richness but a disjointed, bitter finish.

  Pleasant pear fruit, good acidity, dilute mid-palate. First white I've had from this producer.

  Medium purple color. Pure cherry fruit, light to medium weight, nouveau style with no discernible tannin.

  Pungent, herbal, classic Cabernet Franc nose. Light, fairly ripe, but short.

  More floral and less weedy than the Chinon. Less ripe. Light weight but good balance.

  The most serious of these wines. Stony, deeper pitched black fruit, and quite tannic. Very good.

  Moderate wood char, medium weight. Good basic Nuits.

  Gamy nose, again with some noticeable wood. Nice texture, licorice finish.

  Lighter color and weight than the Bousselots, more feminine. Higher acid, red fruit.

  Again, lighter style. Gamy. Tannic without much fruit showing.

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru

  Medium color. Dark fruit, medium weight, tannic finish. Not as large scaled as the Pruliers. More earthy than any of the other wines, but less detailed.
