the nose on this showed smoke, a bit of bacon fat, over dark cherries. fresh and vibrant, good amount of red and black fruit. not complex, but quite good for the price.
the nose is exciting. menthol, black olive, pepper. palate is tannic. this is young and will integrate with time, i imagine. brussel sprouts, smoke, red cherries and licorice. palate coating. nice finish.

this was a lighter styled cab franc without much distinction. cherry cola on the nose. ripe cherry fruit on the palate. a bit of minerals, but lacks tannic umph and concentration.

nose showed tons of blackberry, black olive. opened up with time. i can tell there's some nice dark cherry fruit, some freshness, along with some green olive, but right now it's a little overwhelmingly tannic. really dense and dries out the palate, but the structure is quite nice. long finish.
