extensive orange-ing almost to the center of the wine. fine old waft of cedar. so sous bois. wild cherry fruit still present in the nose. such a harmonious expression. earth, evergreen. soft cedar. hiking. 7up. getting all the more mushroomy as it opens up. definitely needed to be opened with an osso. cork felt like a not so surgid b***r. sweet grass with light swampishness. sage.
open 5 hours. color shows much more dark brown. a root beer in the rim. what grand cru wine have i noticed this premature browning in recently. a very singluar note of soft and present wood in the nose. quite woodsy really, but done in a subtle wafty way. black hole of color in the core of the wine. medium+ palate. woodsy palate. medium- tannin. very pleasurable.

darker and more brooding. dark cherry with a very taut green note as a backbone in the nose. vanilla on the palate. lightly vanilla coke. almost medium body. more angular nose.
pop and pour. shows very california next to the folk machine, leroy and dujac. but light on its feet for california. floral notes immediately off the nose. bright dark cherry and an earthy woodsy. very harmonious florals for being so young. wow.
France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Mont Baudile
blue fruit and a monstr roast off the nose. a light seaweed. up front on the palate a little cheesy funk. very polished fruit. black pepper on the palate gets this going.
USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills
fun and alive baking apple. a high pitched honey comb. medium+ acid. floral and cement on the palate. a creaminess in the mouth. funky styled chard and i'm on it. no malo. 13.2% abv.
big diesel and peach expression. the suggestion of sweet all over the nose. doesn't show spice, but some honey/waxy textural thing. Moderate RS. 1/2 way to dessert and very nice for that. but the acid is, at this point, showing relatively low. medium- perhaps. this should harmonize more with time?
